Active Adventure

We organise mountain biking, motor cycling, hiking and horse riding tours for people of all abilities. All tours are fully supported.

Typical Day

We ride or hike for approximately 6 hours each day, depending on the tour, stopping for breaks and lunch. Most of our trips pass through remote parts of the country inhabited only by nomadic families. The local people often invite us into their homes and welcome us. If there are any interesting sights such as monasteries, museums, standing stones or unusual natural phenomena, of course we make time to enjoy those places too.

Age range, type of group

Many of our groups consist of singles, groups of friends or couples. the age range varies, usually from 30 - 65 years old, although children and young people are welcome, as are older people. For families with younger children we offer tailor-made itineraries suitable for the age and interests of the family group.

Sleeping and meals

In Ulaanbaatar we use one of the best hotels and outside the city we stay at ger camps if possible. Ger camps are the traditional nomadic round white felt tents (yurts) set up for travellers with a restaurant and toilet/washing facilities on site. When travelling in very remote areas of Mongolia we supply good quality tents and camping equipment.
