Cooking school: Spend a fabulous holiday at the country house "la volpe e l'uva" in the heart of Italy (Perugia)The farm is surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, olive trees and Etruscan and Medieval history. Raffaella the owner of the farm, is waiting you to offer you an unique holiday opportunityCooking lessons: Learn to cook authentic Italian dishes in an informal and friendly environment where you will learn the passion of the Italian kitchen and have fun doing it. A comprehensive hands-on cookery course given by a teacher who will teach you to make splendid Italian three course dinners covering all the basic Italian cooking techniques. The cooking lessons are given in your apartment at the country farm "La volpe e l'uva".Cooking holiday: Take day trips to taste extra virgin olive oils, pecorino cheese, Umbrian wines and to visit the some artistic umbrian cities. personalized holiday! We offer different programs:7 DAY PROGRAMIt is for people that arrive in the farm by car and that want to have during the week cooking class, day excursions, typical meals but also free time.4 DAY PROGRAMIt is for people that don't want to rent a car and want to have all the time well planned!1 DAY PROGRAMIt is for people that don’t have time for a full culinary holidays.ONLY COOKING CLASSES! It is for people that is only interested in the accommodations and in the cooking lessons. You can choose a 4-day and the 7-day program.

Typical Day

4 DAY PROGRAMDay 1 - Arrival at the country farm "La volpe e l'uva". Check-in your apartment at 4:00pm. Dinner reservations can be made at a restaurant of your choice.Day 2 - The excursion take place from 9.30 - 15.00 and are led by professional, English-speaking guides. In the morning Half day visit of Bevagna: the town, the Medieval House and the "Cartiera", the paper craftmanship according to old medieval methods. Hunt for amazing secrets of the "borgo". Lunch in restaurant in Bevagna. Hands-on cooking lesson starts around 5:00pm. You will prepare a four course dinner. For dinner you will dine on your creations in your apartment accompanied by our wines.Day 3 - The excursion take place from 9.30 - 15.00 . In the morning Half day visit of Perugia. Lunch in a restaurant of the historic centre. Hands-on cooking lesson starts around 5:00pm. You will prepare a four course dinner. For dinner you will dine on your creations in your apartment accompanied by our wines. Day 4 - The excursion take place from 9.30 - 15.00 and are led by professional, English-speaking guides. The tour comprises a walk between the sweet Umbrian hills, a visit in a biological farm which produces meat, cold cuts, milk, cheese, cottage cheese, olive oil and vegetables. Demonstration of the cheese production and buffet. Hands-on cooking lesson starts around 5:00pm. You will prepare a four course dinner. For dinner you will dine on your creations in your apartment accompanied by our wines. Day 5 - Departure.

Sleeping and meals

The farmhouse in the beautiful heart of the Umbria valley, Italy, sourronded by 10 hectares of olive groves, vineyards and fruit trees. Six independent apartments have been restored around the ancient stone house, which dates back to the 17th century. It is only 4km far from the historic centre of Perugia and offers a suggestive view of the Umbrian hills. The proximity to Perugia, makes the holidays farm's position ideal for visiting other artistic towns in Umbria , such as Assisi, Gubbio, Todi, Orvieto and the Trasimeno lake. There is a lovely swimming pool from which you can enjoy the panoramic view. The farmhouse is composed by independent apartments recently restored: bilo-apartments (Rocco, Oca, Fico, Riding) All apartments have been comfortably furnished in farm-style teak furniture with great attention for detail. The farm lies on a hill and offers absolute peace and quiet with spectacular views of the surrounding hills and Perugia.
