Welcome to St. Lawrence Gap, Barbados! We are located in a small quite road off the busy St.Lawrence Gap area in Dover. This is the main tourist area on the south-coast .
This vacation home 'A Home away from Home' is a charming guest-house, rooming home, flat or apartment and it is built from the Barbados natural coral stone. Elegantly furnished in a Caribbean-European style. The beautiful decorated guest-house flat has 3 bedrooms, a large living-dining room, a small lounge upstairs, complete kitchen, 2 baths (one en-suite), balcony upstairs, terrace and a tropical garden.

There are different accommodations available in this flat depending on your need of budget accommodation. We let a large (max.4 person), medium (max. 3 person) or small bedroom (1-2 person). The room rate is with ceiling fan please add 10 US per room / night on arrival. There are mosquito nets on the windows which are tinted and a free safe box in each bed room is provided.
Wireless free of charge available. Please bring your own laptop.

Two guest-house rooms share a lounge, bathroom and balcony. In the lounge you find a SAT TV, Stereo System incl. MP3 player, DVD player, coffee-maker, toaster, fridge, iron and board for the guest.
Small bedroom has 2 single beds which can be converted by zip to a king-size bed.
The medium bedroom has a 54 inch and a 36 inch wide bed.
Complete shared kitchen downstairs.
The large bedroom upstairs has two 48 inch beds, en-suite bath tub-shower, own SAT TV, Stereo System, DVD and Video player, table & chairs and can use downstairs terrace and shared complete kitchen.

The distance to Dover beach is approx. 100 yards / meter and the Casuarina + Turtle Beach Club Hotel is approx. 200 yards away or 1-3 minutes walk. Other beaches are close by.

Fresh sheets, towels (not beach towels) and room service are provided twice per week.
The Maid will do your washing in the laundry room.
From the airport it will take about 20 min. to your accommodation.

Please note that this property has a 72 hour cancellation policy. Failure to give 72 hour notice of cancellation will result in a one night charge to your credit card.

Directions

We are located on the south-coast of Barbados. We are off H'way 7 bus route from the airport depending on arrival time. Main road with bus stops 200 meter / yard away which bus route to get to all over the Island.

The distance to Dover beach is approx. 100 yards and the Casuarina + Turtle Beach Club Hotel is approx. 200 yards away. Other beaches are close by.
From the airport it will take about 20 min. to your accommodation

The bus stop is about 200 yards/meter away. There are buses, mini-buses and route-taxis going to the capital Bridgetown (appr. 15 min) and to other parts of the island until midnight.
The bus fare is 2.00 BDS$.

You can either take a taxi at the airport or a bus.

We will be monitoring the flight for its actually arrival time.

Just be aware that when taking a bus at your arrival time that all school Children are using the bus at that time as well.
It might happen that you will have to wait 1-2 hours to get into a bus.

If you are planing to take a taxi please note that the rate should be 17-20 US one way.
Make sure you ask the driver before going in the taxi.
If they call Barbados Dollar rate than it would be 34-40 BDS

In case you want to go by bus please use a bus going to Bridgetown on the # 7 highway.

Make sure you have 2.00 BDS$ in change as the bus drivers just have a box to put the money in and no change.

After you come trough a small village you will see on your left side next to the road the sea.
After passing that area look out for a shell gas station on the left.
As you sea the shell gas station either press the bell or call loud next bus stop.

You will see a sign :

*Charles Water Sports turn left*.

Please turn left there and follow the road until the end.
Than turn left there and follow that road.
You will see a big yellow building on your right sight *Saphire Condominiums* pass that complete building and look to your left side for a corner property which has the sign
*Royal Bank of Canada* lending center.
Turn left in front of that bank.
Just follow that road about 100 yards / meter and you will see on your left a double townhouse this house marked #109. Take the right entrance of that house as that is were you are staying.

Please take the booking form with you as you might need to show it at Immigration.
You also need the address which is on the form for Immigration as you have to fill out an Immigration card prior your arrival.
