Our staff will help you to their best ability with any transport requests / queries and also with their pleasure. Hohhot, as well as being an ideal base from which to explore Inner Mongolia, also has direct transport links to major mainland China cities: by rail to Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Tianjin, Suzhou, Harbin, Shenyang as well as multiple other destinations. By bus easily to Beijing, Xi'an, Pingyao, Datong etc, and Hohhot's Baita International Airport has direct flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Wuhan, Hong Kong etc., and to Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia (with appropriate visa which we can help you to acquire.)

As we are conveniently located in the centre of the city, we are within easy reach of the train station from which we can provide a free pick-up service - also provided from the bus station - for your convenience to bring you directly here with a smile! [The city's airport can be reached in around half-an-hour's time by local taxi at a fee c.50rmb, or we can arrange to pick you up for 60 RMB/1car (1--3persons)， 100 RMB/1Mini bus or jeep(1--9 persons)].

From our base you can tour the city which was founded by Altan Khan in the 16th century, its name meaning 'Blue City' in Mongolian, in reference to the placid blue skies over the panoramic grasslands (the color blue in Mongolian culture is associated with the sky, eternity and purity). Of particular note are the temples and pagodas set in a fully-modernized urban environment: the 5-tiered, Indian-influenced Wuta pagoda dating from 1732 - within which walls there are more than 1,500 figures of Buddha - the monks praying and chanting in the Da Zhao and Xilitu Zhao temple and Buddhist lamasery, and the newer Guanyin Si complex popular with the locals and famous for its oversized sputa. For those wishing to investigate Inner Mongolia's history, there is the newly constructed Museum, with exhibits ranging from displays concerning the legendary Khans, others dating back to prehistoric dinosaurs and also forward to space-age rockets. Here you may also learn about the province's other ethnic groups in colorful displays.

Of course, no visit would be complete without trying the local food and specialty hotpot - also available 'in-house' at our hostel by request. Being a large and modern city, Chinese, Western and Asian-fusion restaurants are all easily accessible, our hostel being literally one minute's walk away from the 'Restaurant Street - even though you may well feel guilty for visiting the local international brand 'fried-chicken' establishments! There are also bars, coffee-shops, popular karaoke 'KTV' bar/discos as well as a multitude of street-stalls selling meat-kebabs, local cuisine and of course the region's famous milk tea. All of our hostel's guests can receive a free local map giving detailed instructions and directions to the city's many attractions and sites as well as transport hubs.

Desert Tour: 1 Day tour
Activities: After breakfast, travel by mini bus（3 and half hours driving and leave for the desert at 9:00am, return c.7:00pm. Lunch. Experience the vast panoramic plains of the desert. Hike in the desert. Enjoy desert activities e.g sand sliding, quad biking and camel riding.

Desert Tour: 2 Days 1 Night
Activities: Day 1: After breakfast, travel by mini-bus and leave for the desert at 9:00am. Lunch. Go to Uudan Lama Temple. Experience the vast panoramic plains of the desert. Take a surfing car to the oasis (2 hours). Enjoy the sunset. Spend the night in a tent near the oasis.
Day 2: Watch the sunrise. Return by riding a camel out of the desert.

2 Days and 1 Night Tour of the Gobi Desert and Uudan Lama Temple Tour
Activities: Day 1: After breakfast, travel by mini bus and leave for the desert at 9:30am in the morning to go to the desert. Lunch. Experience the vast panoramic plains of the desert. Take a camel ride. Go to Uudan Lama temple (the largest Lama temple in Inner Mongolia). Enjoy the sunset. Enjoy the shining stars in the sky. Spend the night in a hotel (staying in the Lama's dorm room) next to the Lama Temple
Day 2: Watch the sunrise. Visit the Uudan Lama Temple and listen to the Lama class. Climb the moutains around the Uudan Lama Temple.Have a quiet and peaceful night time.

Great Wall of China Tour 1 Day tour
Activities: After breakfast, travel by mini bus and leave for the Great Wall at Helin xian in the morning. Travel time 2 hours.Then, hike to the Great Wall from Hudailukou (approximately 2 hours). See the majestic mountainous plains of Hohhot, farmers tending their crops and wind generators (wind turbines) across the Shanxi border. See the Great Wall between the Shanxi and Inner Mongolia borders. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the mountainous plains.

Xilamuren Grassland Tour (A):1 Day 1-Night Tour
Option 1: Travel by mini bus（2hours driving） to visit a traditional Mongolian family. Option 2: Travel by mini bus (2hours driving) to visit a tourist camp.
Activities: Enjoy a traditional Mongolian lunch and dinner. Visit the beautiful and scenic Grassland. Horse-riding and trekking on the Grassland. Spend a night in a Mongolian yurt (In Mongolian a "Ger"). Take part in lighting of cow's dung fire. Watch the sunrise and sunset. Enjoy the shining stars in the sky. Have a quiet and peaceful time. Watch sheep and cattle herding (for Option 1 only). Stay with Chinese tourists (for Option 2 only).

Get off Inner Mongolia Hospital (内蒙古医院),
turn left on Qiao Kao Xi Jie street
and then walk for around 5 minutes.
