Mont St. Michel, France Youth Hostels

Welcome to Au Bon Accueil. Our hostel is family run and British owned. We offer
a free pick up for guests arriving on foot from Pontorson Station and to Mont St
Michel. All rooms have private bathrooms. Cycle hire. Free WiFi.

For guests arriving on foot from paris the best way to Pontorson is
Paris-Caen-Pontorson. Ring or email with arrival time and we will be there to
pick you up. Last pick up is 20.00 hrs.

We are 30 minutes from the ferry port and famous historic walled city of St Malo
and just 10 minutes over quiet farmers roads to the UNESCO World Heritage Site
of Mont St Michel. We are idaelly situated to enjoy a short weekend break or a
longer vacation.

Also within 30 minutes are the beautiful medieval towns of Dinan and Dol de
Bretagne - the ancient capital of Brittany and ancestral home of the Stuart
Kings of Scotland. Just over the river Rance, over its unique dam, is the
Edwardian style holiday resort of Dinard.

Visit the fairytale chateau at Combourg or the medieval fortress at Fougeres.
For children there is the zoo and chateau at Bourbonsais or Cobac water park.

The coast is famous for its fabulous seafood. Visit the harbour town of Cancale
for fabulous restaurants. Enjoy the oysters, mussels or a plate of \'fruits de
mer\'.

There are restaurants within walking distance, and a bar across the road. From
spring, the guests seating area in the garden will be open.

Nearest train station is Pontorson. On arrival or before, please email or telephone us and our shuttle service will pick you up .Try to book your train well in advance as a lot of our guests are last minute cancellations due to trains being full. Please note French telephone boxes do not take coins - only cards,which can bought at bar tabacs or post offices.

From Pontorson take D997 towards St Malo this turns into D797 (route de la baie) we are 7 minutes from Pontorson on the corner of D89 turning for St. Marcan ,inbetween the villages of La Poultiere and St. Broladre.
We have blue shutters and are opposite the Tric'horn Kafe.
