Welcome to Rainbow Garden Village at Lake Bosumtwi!
This is a lakefront guest house. The landscape around the lake is embedded by a meteor impact wall, which is 450m high. Various, subtropic and tropic rank covers the region. The variety of plants and animals at Lake Bosumtwi is overwhelming. Therefore Lake Bosumtwi and its surrounding have been a national park for plants and animals for years. R.G.V. is a very relaxing place in the near of Abono (2,5 km), which is the most developed village at the lake. We have 6 private double Bungalows with fan and private bath 2. 2 private double rooms with shared bath. Dormitory for 6 people.

R.G.V. is open for everyone! We have three different categories of accommodation. For backpackers we offer a bungalow with ceiling fan, three student beds, a store room as well as external showers and toilets all in African style. For guests with more luxurious needs we offer spacious double rooms in the main building with ceiling fans and African decoration. For most comfort we offer waterfront bungalows with a beautiful lake view, a small garden with seats and sun chairs as well as a cosy bamboo sitting corner and bathroom in the interior of the bungalow.

We maintain a nice restaurant where African and European meals are available almost around the clock. The meal can be enjoyed under the "Rainbow Summer Hut" or directly on Bosumtwe beach. And when the hot African sun makes the sand burn you can take a cool soft drink, fresh juices or exotic cocktails at the Rainbow Bar.
We rent bicycles for exploring the area and offer adventurous hiking trips around the lake Bosumtwe. It is also possible to rent our van which is normally used for our Ghana travel tours. Our Guest have the possibility to play football and beach volleyball at the shore.
We offer different workshops (drumming, dancing, cooking and social studies)
We also organize fabolous two day trips around the Lake Bosumtwe - really adventurous, and some amazing Ghana travel tours with our lovely Rainbow van.

In order to get from Accra to Kumasi you have different possibilities. The most comfortable way to get there are spacious busses (STC). It is absolutely necessary that you buy a ticket beforehand. The departure is always on time. The journey takes about 3,5 hours. The journey with small busses is not comfortable and costs more time, money.
Kumasi Lake Bosumtwe (Abono):
The best connection from Kumasi to the lake is trough Adum bus station. The small buses ( Tro Tro's) drive between 8 am and 7 pm. The Tro Tro won't bring you to the lake directly, but drops you off in Kuntanase, the district capital. From Kuntanase you easily get a connection to Abono (Bosumtwi).
