Hello from Anjuna, we are a Goan couple and we live downstairs to the Vanilla Guesthouse. My Mother, and 4 children live together as a Goan family, so alltogether thats 3 generations all living under one roof. Our family migrated to the British Colony of Kenya (East Africa) in the early part of the Century but have now resettled in our Village Anjuna since 1964.

Our family run and maintained Vanilla Guest house in the Anjuna Village consists of :

3 ensuite private rooms with double bed(Room A, B, F, G)

1 ensuite private room with 2 single beds (Room D)

One ensuite private room with 1 single double bed (Room C) Though due to size of the room we have allocated this room for single occupancy, it can also accomodate 2 persons at a small extra charge.

(Room E) - 3 single beded room with shared bathroom can accomodate 3 persons

All rooms are on the first floor (except room G)economical and well maintained with 24 hours hot / cold shower, laundry service, pick up and drop service, sight seeing tours with our friendly local cab driver.

All our ensuite rooms have mosquito nettings for the windows

Our main Guest house (Room A, B, C, D, E) has a big open balcony overlooking the Indian Ocean where one can relax and enjoy the sun.

Please note before making your booking that Room F & G are located at the side of the main guest House and does not have the big open terrace shown in the photos but these two rooms do afford more privacy.

Apart from this all the rooms have a balcony. The high tide mark is only about 50/80 metres away. Along the beach front are available restaurants and places to enjoy a peaceful drink of types to suit the different taste buds of the travellers.

Internet facility is available downstairs for our guests at a special discounted rate (minimum charge Rs. 10/-)

Dear valued Guests due to ongoing experiences on guests booking 1 night and failing to turn up at our guest house, thereby depriving other genuine guests from booking, we regret to inform you that we will only accept / confirm minimum 2 night bookings in future.

Directions

Our Nearest Airport is approximately 51 kms away in the south of Goa at Dabolim, from there if you plan to come by Taxi you tell the Taxi driver to go to Anjuna , DMello Vaddo and turn left on arrival at Starco Junction, go straight down the road till you come to a T junction, than turn right again and proceed till you come to a Catholic White Chapel called St Anthonys Chapel, from there you proceed along the mud track for about 50 metres keeping to the right side of the Chapel. The better option would be to contact us (e-mail) for more detailed direction on arrival and we will most probably arrange for a taxi to pick you up from the airport for the same cost. (We will e-mail you an attachment Map showing location and directions to our guest house on receiving your reservation)

By local bus you would need to catch first a bus thats going to Panaji, from there another bus to Mapuca and from there a bus to Anjuna and get off at Starco Junction and walk along the road South as explained above.

If you arrive by Train please try to alight at THIVIM station if there is a scheduled halt, as it is the closest and about 20 kms away from our GH and a Taxi should cost you about 400/- rupees. From Madgaon the distance is much further and a Taxi cost would be approx 900/-
