Description   Mountain Prince Lodge

Mountain Prince is located in Sarangkot which is on the Western edge of Pokhara Lakeside.

At 1592 meters Sarangkot is the highest point on the Pokhara Valley Rim and is an excellent step out of the city and into the Himalayan experience. (click on the 'Directions' tab for advise on the trip up)

Mountain Prince is one of Sarangkot's origional and most comfortable lodges. It is located 70 meters towards the quiet end of the village. The Lodge has expansive southern valley sunset views and good Annapurna glimpses from communal areas and some rooms.

Attached or shared western style bathrooms. Sunny and fresh rooms. Linnen and towels provided. Woodfires when it is cool, Hygenic Nepali and continental meals on request, Gas equipted kitchen, Organic kitchen garden, Wireless Internet, Large Roof Top deck and Balcony areas.

Mountain Prince is perfect for travellers who want to experience the Himalaya but with more comfort than a full blown wilderness trek experience, and in a shorter time frame.

This is the perfect place to kick back and relax, soak up the sun, see the sunrises and sunsets, take off for some of the worlds best paragliding, and take day treks through the local Himalayan community villages.

One to fouteen day treks can be arranged by the managment as can independant & tandem paragliding flights. Ask us when you get here.

Directions

Getting to Sarangkot is easy. If you would like us to arrange a door to door transfer from eithor Pokhara or Kathmandu, please email us at mountainprince@sarangkot.com.np.

Otherwise you can choose from four methods.

Method 1:
From Pokhara Airport, Pokhara City (Mahendrapool), or Pokhara Lakeside, take a 20-minute taxi ride to 'Sarangkot Parking(Near VDC)' (Nrs 450)it's a climbing road, and then hike for 25 minutes up the stone staircase to the top, it is a magnificent trail to observe the Annapurna.

Method 2:
Or, for a shorter walk, take your taxi all the way to 'Sarangkot Top', and then hike the final 5-minute assent by foot. Taxi to 'Sarangkot Top' will cost extra as the road beyond 'Sarangkot Parking' is a steep rocky mountain road which is difficult to traverce.Approx. Rs 700 .

Method 3:
Local Micro buses leave hourly from the Pokahara New Bus Park(BAGLUNG BUS PARK) to 'Sarangkot'. walk 10 minutes steps by the edge above Sarangkot hill towards the view top ,Mountain Prince will gives you free arrangements From this Bus Stop -if you make sure about this,Please, call us before you leave(Mob.+977-9804103717) b> This service is temporarily unavailable
Alternatively you could get Pokhara Kaski bus via sarangkot from the same Bus Park, Ask if the Sarangkot-Kaski Bus leaving. When boarding tell the driver you wish to alight at Sarangkot Top(Mountain Prince). The trip up takes about 45-minutes and sometimes when the bus is crowded you may have to sit on the roof.
About a hundred Rupee will be the fair price from Lakeside ,Tourist buspark or from outside Airport to fatch up this Bus Park

Method 4:
Alternatively - you can walk all the way from Pokahara Lakeside to Sarangkot. Allow 2-hours. Walk along the Northern edge of the lake, Follow the Sarangkot signs, or ask any local for directions as the Sarangkot location is well known. This is a steep hike.

For help with your bags hire a porter from Pokhara (Nrs 200), or from 'Sarangkot Parking' (Nrs 100).
