We are located 24km away from Nerja in Competa.Competa is nestled 700 metres above sea level in the Sierra Almijara. A delightful medium-sized white Spanish village, a 50 MIN DRIVE FROM MALAGA AIRPORT AND 55 KM FROM MALAGA CITY. The white washed walls reflect the beautiful summer sun, on doors, windows and walls throughout Competa town.

Competa village is surrounded by a 4,000 hectares wide wildlife reserve, the Sierra Almijara, with peaks as high as 2,068 metres. A stunningly beautiful natural park where you can go for walks to encounter mountain goats, eagles and a very rich vegetation. Yet, the sandy beaches and coastal villages of Axarquia are also very near. Competa has 30 bars and restaurants offering excellent tapas and meals at low prices. The area of Competa has one of the best climates in Europe, and the land surrounding the village and down to the coast is filled with vineyards, olive, almond and lemon groves. The locally produced Moscatel wine is famous throughout the region. You can visit one of the bodegas and taste it yourself!

We have a one bedroom apartment & 2 twin en-suite rooms. We are situated on the side of the mountain with stunning unrivaled views down the valley, across the Mediterranean as far as the Rif Mountains in Morocco. There are 7 patios, 3 lawns, swimming pool, 2 BBQ's & a lovely mature garden for you to relax in.In addtion to listed facilites we also have internet facilities,credit card facilities and linen is included in the price.

We also can arrange the following activities:Walking (80 routes), Sculpture, Golf, Horse Riding, all to make your stay more enjoyable. Meals & packed lunches are available on request. We have solar water installed, A/C in the Apartment/one twin room & our drinking water is fetched from a fresh spring in the National Park and is free to drink.

Directions

We are a 50 min drive from Malaga airport, there are 3 daily buses (2 at weekends) from Malaga City to Competa at a cost of €5 pp one way (we will pick you up from the bus stop). Granada airport is a 2hr drive away but there is a train service to Malaga then the local bus to Competa. A taxi service is available, also there are plenty of car hire companies at Malaga airport. On arrival in Competa if you stop by the Tourist Information Office & call us we will come to meet you.
