Skanstulls Vandrarhem

Welcome to Stockholm's new and modern hostel located in Sofo, Sodermalm in the heart of Stockholm City, next to the metro station Skanstull.
Here you can enjoy the relaxed, nice and cozy atmosphere or just saunter around in the famous area Sofo with its culturally diverse shops and cafes.

NOTE: In order to get instructions how to get into the hostel if you arrive later than 20:00, please contact us.
If you arrive earlier than 15:00, you can leave your bags in our safe luggage room.

Our hostel is located in the centre of Sofo which is known being Stockholm's cultural midpoint with its restaurants, cozy cafes, gallerias, music events, bars and odd boutiques. From here you have a walking distance (among others) to Old City, The Globe, the royal castle and near to shopping.

We offer our guests free Internet (stationary computers and Wi-Fi), coffee/tea, laundry, some games, newspapers and magazines,and free access to our homely kitchen equipped with stove, fridges and microwaves.

We offer cozy rooms with new and modern beds.
You can choose to stay in a larger dorm with twelve beds for a cheap price or you can choose to stay in a smaller more private room (these rooms can only be booked thru our homepage or telephone). Our rooms keeps a nice and cozy standard, were we try to create an individual character interactive for our hostel.

We try to keep a high cleanliness standard and want to make sure that our guests sleeps in new and fresh sheets, those you can rent for 50 SEK from us, towels for rent is 15 SEK.

In our library you can find books in different languages, here you can also lend a book or switch your old book to a new.

Drapers shop is one block away from our hostel, it costs around 95 sek per 5 kilos, and we also have ironing facilities.

We have free luggage storage for late or early check-in/out (same day only 8:00-20:00),
free safety boxes and 24 hours open with a personal key-tag.
The hostel is a non smoking area, handicapped friendly WC/shower and child friendly with nursery room.

Skanstulls vandrarhem is open 365 days a year from 08:00 - 20.00, no hostel membership is needed.

SHEETS
You are welcome to bring your own clean sheets or rent from us for a price of 50 SEK. No sleeping bags are allowed.

WC & SHOWERS
We have seperate showers with WC for men and women, lots of WC in the corridor space and a handicap WC with shower.

CLEANING
We provide cleaning, while you do your own dishes and keep the place tidy.
The hostel is cleaned during the daytime and shall then be empty between 12.00 and 15.00.

CANCELED RESERVATIONS AND NO SHOWS
Cancellations should be done no later then 15.00 the day before arrival, unless otherwise agreed. Later cancellations are charged for one day. This also applies to no shows.

CHECK-OUT BEFORE AGREED DAY
When this happens we only charge for the coming night.

PAYMENT
Is done on arrival. Reservation charge/payment in advance is possible.

RESPONSIBILITY
The guest is responsible for any damage caused by him/herself, or his/her guest, in the Hostel. The guest is also responsible for his personal belongings.

PETS
It is not allowed to bring pets.

SMOKING
Smoking is not allowed in the Hostel! If smoking would occur within the Hostel, additional costs for cleaning and laundry will be charged.

From the Central station

Walk from Central Station to Archipelago Hostel Old Town
From the main entrance at the Central Station take right on Vasagatan go across the bridge (Vasabron) straight ahead to Stora Nygatan it take about 10 min

Subway
Take the subway one stop from Central station to Gamla Stan walk straight ahead to Stora Nygatan 38

From Skavsta Airport
All the flights have direct transfer bus to Central Station in Stockholm, its take 1 hour and 20 min.



From Arlanda Airport

Take the Arlanda bus (flygbussarna) to the Central Station its take 40 min.

The train Arlanda Express to the Central Station its take 20 min
