Description of Active Adventure

Discover the California Wine Country of a rare gaited Rocky Mountain Horse. Ride the beaches of the Mendocino Coast, tour & have the exclusive privlege to ride at Seabiscuit's home and enjoy tours and tastings of award winning wines. Ride into the quaint town of Upper Lake and tie up in front of the classic Blue Wing Saloon. The trip is moderate and all levels of riders can be accommodated.

Typical Day

Arising to beautiful sunrises, guest typically enjoy a morning and afternoon ride with lunch. After the ride a tour and tasting at a local winery is followed by appetizers and relaxing on the large covered deck with breathtaking views of Clear Lake, California's largest natural lake. A dinner featuring local fresh ingredients is followed by a movie, games or quiet time.

Age range, type of group

All ages are welcome. Most weeks though are adult oriented and wine tasting may only be done by those 21 years or older. Cowboy Hideaway does offer special themed weeks that are oriented either to families with different activities for after riding or special themed weeks.

Sleeping and meals

All meals are included except two lunches which guests have at resaurants. A variety of sleeping arrangements are available from King Size beds to twin beds. Cowboy Hideaway will place you in the accommodation of your choice.

Restrictions

No smoking or pets. Guests may bring their own horses with prior arrangements

Rates

A three night/Two day package is available starting at $1295 per person based on double occupancy. This includes lodging, most meals, horse, tack, guide, wine tastings and taxes.
A six night/five days package is available starting at $2495. This includes lodging, most meals, horse, tack, guide, wine tastings and tax.
