Description of Active Adventure

The Florida Trail in the Ocala National Forest is certified as Florida National Scenic Trail, and has been called the “crown jewel” of the Florida Trail system. The entire length of the trail in the National Forest is also designated as part of the Florida Statewide Trails System. The trail traverses a range of natural communities including extensive stands of longleaf pines, and scattered communities of sand pines, other short leaf pines, and hardwoods. The trail also skirts open prairies and ponds that are excellent for viewing wildlife. Easy-Moderate

Typical Day

This is a 8 hour hiking course with a native american lokota elder. You wil observe nature in some of the most beautiful Wildlife Conservation areas in Florida. This course is designed to enhance your ability to observe and experience wildlife and also teaches you different techniques for attuning oneself with nature.

Age range, type of group

18 years old unless accompanyed by parents no one under 12 years of age. Families and Groups are welcome

Sleeping and meals

PRIMITIVE CAMPING AND MEALS at extra cost. FOR 2 OR MORE DAY HIKES.

NO PETS, ALCOHOL OR DRUGS ALOUD

NO MEALS OR DRINKS ARE OFFERED FOR ONE DAY TRIPSYOU NEED TO BRING ALL OF YOUR OWN CAMPING EQUIPMENT FOR THE TRIP.
