Description of Surrounding Area
We are located on a quiet residential side street, just 800 feet from Front Beach, a nice sandy beach good for swimming and relaxing. Shops galleries and restaurants are all within walking distance, as is the train that you can take to Salem or Boston.
Diagonally across the street from the inn is the Mill Pond, and below that Millbrook Meadow, which is a small park with swings and a slide, benches and a large grassy area for running and playing.
Description of Accommodations
An 1850 Victorian home, we have 11 guest rooms in the main house, all individually decorated. The 2 guest rooms on the first floor have TV, the 2nd and 3rd floor guest rooms do not. The Frist floor common areas are for guests to relax and include a comfortable living room with TV and DVD player for guests, and a bright sun room for visiting and chatting. Breakfast is served in the dining room buffet style, and when weather permits, guests can enjoy breakfast on the deck.
Our Carriage House offers 4 units to accomodate families and longer stays, as they have small kitchenettes.
Description of Rooms/Suites
Guest rooms in the main house all have private baths, with the ability to control the heating or cooling of the room. All are individually decorated, and have either a king or queen bed. One room on the third floor has twin beds.
The Carriage House units have a queen bed and a twin bed, a semi-efficiency kitchenette, TV, private bath, sitting area with 2 chairs, and a small table with chairs. They also have a nice deck with table and chairs. Suitable for families, a pack and play or rollaway bed suitable for a child is available for a second child.
The Rose-Green Suite has it's own private entrance, and has 2 bedrooms. The larger bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed, and a TV, the smaller bedroom has 2 twin beds and a sink with mirror. There is a private bath, and a fridge, microwave, coffee pot and kettle for convenience.

We are a non-smoking bed and breakfast. Pets are not allowed. Children of all ages are welcome in our Carriage House and Rose Green Suite.

Directions
WALKING FROM THE TRAIN: When you get off the train, head toward the Dunkin Donuts, take a left onto Railroad Ave, cross the street, and you will see the Rockport National Bank (a small granite building) and their parking lot, you can cut through their parking lot onto King St, which is the street we are on, we are on the left hand side of the street, partway down, # 16, it's a big white victorian with green trim. You can come in through the sunroom door, which is off the the big deck.
DIRECTIONS BY ROAD Take Route 128 North, toward Gloucester. After crossing over the bridge spanning the Annisquam River, continue straight through two rotaries until you reach the traffic light. Take a left at the lights on to Route 127 North and continue towards Rockport (about 3 - 4 miles). At "five corners", take a left and continue on Route 127 North towards Pigeon Cove (also Railroad Avenue). You will see Dunkin Donuts on your left and the railroad station, just shortly after that you will see the Rockport National bank on your right, it is a small granite building. King Street is at the bank on your right take a right onto Kings Street and you will find us just 400 feet down on your left.
DIRECTIONS FROM LOGAN AIRPORT: Coming out of the airport, look for signs to Route 1 (Or Route 1A) to Revere or Saugus...follow Route 1 for several miles, towns you will see are Revere, Saugus, Melrose, Wakefield, then Lynnfield. After you go under an overpass/small short tunnel you will want to then get over to the right to take the Route 128 exit. Take Route 128 North, Gloucester, the left fork of the exit ramp, and follow the directions above.
DIRECTIONS FROM NH/MAINE COMING DOWN ON ROUTE 95 SOUTH: Follow Route 95 South into Massachusetts, take Route 133 towards Essex. Follow Route 133 through Ipswich into Essex. Look for sign for Route 128 North after coming through Essex, but before going into Gloucester. Take Route 128 North and follow directions above.
FROM MASS PIKE EAST BOUND: Take the Weston Toll exit (Exit 14). After paying toll, stay to left and take Route 95/RT128 North. Follow directions above
