Chalet Kammleitn has been newly renovated, and offers our guests a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All bedrooms are equipped with en-suite facilities. We have a selection of twin, triple and quad rooms, some with balcony and having the fantastic views of the Italian Carnic Alps, and the Nassfeld slopes. We are also a \'Bikers Welcome\' guest house, and offer a multitude of exhilarating rides for you to choose from. There are washing facilities for your bikes, a drying room with boot warmers, garaging and secure outdoor parking for your bikes, detailed tour maps with GPS info, daily weather forecast printouts, and flexible board arrangements.

Watschig is a small Austrian village, just 3kms from the base of the mountain activities, and 6kms from the cosmopolitan town of Hermagor. Chalet Kammleitn is right on the banks of the river Gail, and has direct access to the main cycle and Nordic Walking track - R3. We are in a beautiful countryside setting, with breathtaking views of the Carnic Alps.
Both Slovenia and Italy, are only a 40 minute drive, for those wanting to visit more than one country.
We are a 1 hour drive from Klagenfurt airport, and approximately 40 minutes drive from Villach.
We do not recommend our accommodation for people wanting a convenient airport/city stopover, due to the distance from Klagenfurt.

Taxi from Airport:
It takes approximately 1 hour from Klagenfurt Airport to Chalet Kammleitn. A taxi will cost a maximum of 40 euros per person, each way.
Public transport from Airport:
Train or bus to Villach. Change in Villach, connection is possible by either train or bus to within 100 meters of Chalet Kammleitn, depending on flight times.
Private Airport transfers:
We have negotiated return transfers from Klagenfurt, Ljubljana, Triest and Salzburg airports for anyone wanting private transfers. The larger the group, the cheaper the transfer becomes.
Travelling by car: From Klagenfurt airport, onto the autobahn, driving in the direction of Villach. Then staying on the autobahn, heading for Udine, Italy. Take the exit for Hermagor (B111). After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive in Hermagor. Staying on the B111, drive through Hermagor, towards Nassfeld. After 6kms, take the turn for Watschig. Drive under the B111, over the railway line and then over the bridge, take the second left-hand turn. Chalet Kammleitn is 50 meters up this road on the left.
