Peacefully situated amongst the cobbled streets in this truly authentic area of Rio de Janeiro , the Pousada Pitanga is no more than 5mn walk to numerous lively bars and restaurants as well as the many popular festivals taking place in Santa Teresa.
The swimming pool, situated on the terrace and the garden, will help you to relax after a long day touring the fantastic and unique city of Rio de Janeiro . Owned by a young French girl who fell in love with Brasil when she was 13 and whose last job was Sales Manager in an European group of hotels, the Pousada Pitanga offers you a warm and private welcoming with its 4 beautifully designed rooms, all with modern comforts and decorated using the theme of Brazilian fruit.
The Bonde, affectionately called by local residents as “Bondinho”, is the unique tram-line still in operation and passes close to the pousada. It allows you to travel in the most unusual and unique to the centre of Rio de Janeiro where you can take the subway to Copacabana and Ipanema beaches.
