We´re not the typical hostel,this is more a place where volunteers , backbackers,campers,newcomers to Costa Rica and tourists meet and hang out together.
( Like a bunch of travelers sharing a big house )
Alajuela Campground and hostel is located just outside of Alajuela,less then 10 min. from the airport.
Our hostel offers clean bunk beds for low prices year round! We are close to downtown Alajuela but only a 5 min bus ride away from the street noise in a nice tranquile area of Alajuela.

Free Spanish classes Mo through Fr ! ( 2 hours )
All guests have 24 hour access to our fullsize kitchen and we offer laundry service too. We have 5 bathrooms with hot showers,so no waiting in the morning. Also we offer a large common room with cable TV and a sound system,just bring your Ipod!
Breakfast can be included for an additional $ 2 Dollars.
Free,secure car parking for all guests
Relaxed atmosphere,all ages welcome.
ACG offers free use of its own soccer field (20 m x 40m with 2 goals (2x5m)). There are pick up games every Sunday morning,please join us even if you don´t stay with us.

We are also offering Spanish lessons and free volunteer opportunities for various projects in Alajuela and Heredia. Our free English class gets bigger and bigger,we need volunteers asap.

Directions

Coming from the airport ,take a right at Calle Ancha, a 4 way street surrounding Alajuela. Take a left at the stadium then take a right at the Alajuela Courthouse ( El Corte ),take a left at the first Y intersection,then there´s another Y ,take a right there,follow the signs to Hotel Pura Vida,we are located right next to Quinta San Angel (on the right hand side, 200 m before Hotel Pura Vida).

- Or take the bus from Alajuela terminal to Tuital ( Tuetal Sur or Norte,both will work for you),get off at Quinta San Angel.Busfare is $ 0.20
The bus to Alajuela leaves
in front of our door.

- Taxi is less then $ 2 from downtown Alajuela. and $ 6 from the airport.
( Look for Alajuela cabs )Instructions for taxi driver. Tuetal, 1 km norte de la corte, al costado sur de Quinta San Angel, follow signs to Hotel Pura Vida. Just 10 minutes from the internacional Airport. Call us if you have problems finding us
