Arriving at Chania Airport or by Ferry Boat (Port of Souda):
The taxi ride from Chania International Airport to Hotel Alexis is about 25 minutes. (about 25-28 euro). From the Port of Souda, the taxi ride is about 10-15 minutes.(about 10-12 euro). Transfer by taxi can be divided if more than one passenger shares the taxi. Please come see us at the reception if the taxi driver tries to charge you more.
You can also take a bus from the Airport/Ferry Boat, to the city centre, (the bus will drop you outside the public market); from there, you must walk two blocks west, where you will find the Local Bus Stop, get on any of the green busses and tell the bus driver to stop at the "Parigoria" bus stop. The Parigoria stop is the closest bus stop to hotel Alexis.(about 300 meters) Once you get off the bus, walk a few meters up from the bus stop (westward) and you will find the hotel Alexis sign (on the main road). At the road sign, turn right and walk up the hill, to the top, where you will find a second hotel Alexis sign. At the second sign turn right, onto Kalergidon Street, continue walking about 50 meters to the end of the block, and on your left, you will see hotel Alexis. It's not complicated to find, although the walk up the hill is a little tiresome, you will be amazed at the view once at the top of the hill!!
Or take a taxi, (Taxi Station is across from the Local Bus Stop) which will cost you 5-6 Euro to hotel Alexis.
Arriving at Heraklion Airport or Ferry Boat Terminal:
From the Heraklion Airport or Port Terminal, travelers can take a bus or taxi to the Heraklion Bus Terminal (KTEL) and from there buses leave for Chania approximately every hour. Once you arrive at the Chania Bus Terminal you can jump in a taxi or walk to the Local Bus Stop to get to hotel Alexis. There will be taxis waiting outside of the Bus Terminal. To get to the Local Bus Stop, walk out of the Bus Terminal, towards the busy street (Kydonias street), turn right (east) and walk approximately 2 blocks where you will see the Local Bus Station on the left hand side. (The taxi station is also across from this bus stop if you later decide to take a taxi); jump on any green bus and tell the driver you want to go to the "Parigoria" stop (A 10-15 minute bus ride).
