Moana Lodge generally suits people wanting an uncrowded, friendly and relaxing place to stay out of the City and where personal service is paramount. There is a stunning seafront lounge, cosy dining room, private showers and toilets(but not ensuite) , very comfy beds( no bunks) & a large well equipped farmhouse kitchen providing excellent self catering facilities.
Weather permitting - Swim, sail, kayak, fish, golf and dive near by. Walk along the beachfront (15 minutes)to great cafes, the village shops, medical centre and the commuter train station which goes right into the Stadium. Couldn't be easier.

The Bluebridge and Interislander ferry terminals are a 25km driveon SH1. The Bluebridge Terminal is right opposite the railway station for easy access.
We are 25 minutes by commuter train from Wellington. The train goes regularly till 11.00pm and till 1.00am at weekends. We pick up whenever possible from Plimmerton station or at the Intercity bus at MANA which is a request stop. The airport is 35 minutes by car or you can catch a taxi or an airport shuttle and a train to our place.

Office hours are 8.30am until 8.00pm in Winter, 8.00am till 9.00pm in Summer. Bookings MAY be accepted for arrivals AFTER this time with prior arrangement as being small we do not have night reception. It is essential that you contact us BEFORE you book or your booking will not be accepted.

20 MINUTES NORTH OF WELLINGTON BY CAR, Moana Lodge is 1.2kms off SH1 at the Steyne Avenue, Plimmerton turnoff. COMING FROM THE NORTH DON'T TURN AT THE SIGN WHICH SAYS PLIMMERTON ESTATE. DRIVE THROUGH THE LIGHTS TO THE NEXT TURN INTO PLIMMERTON

COMING FROM THE SOUTH TURN LEFT AFTER THE Z PETROL STATION and follow the road around the beachfront. We are 1.2kms from SH1 on the beach.

We are a gateway for inter island ferries (20 minutes away) as well as for trips to Wellington, Wairarapa, Kapiti Coast, Hutt Valley and Porirua
The commuter train stops at Plimmerton and the Intercity REQUEST Bus stops opposite the BP station at MANA.
Overlander trains stop at Porirua or Paraparaumu.
