Description
The Cat's Pyjamas
A small friendly lodge with all facilities in the centre of town. Easy access to Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove and amazing beaches. Activities and trips arranged such as kayaking, scenic flights, swimming with dolphins, bone carving and much, much more. Let your affable host Buster take you on a scenic flight around the Mercury Bay area for a small donation.
Cosy atmosphere in comfortable lounge with television and a selection of free movies and books. Also, an open fire in winter (relax with a glass of wine). In summer the backyard can accommodate many happy gatherings, barbeques, and camping.
All facilities are wheelchair accessible and include: full kitchen (including herbs and spices), lounge, laundry, luggage storage, safety deposit box.

Location
Whitianga is located on the Eastern side of The Coromandel. 208kms from Auckland, 93km from Thames, 42 km from Tairua.
We are located in the town of Whitianga on the Coromandel Peninsula, on the North Island of New Zealand.
Whitianga is serviced by Great Barrier Airlines with two flights per day from Auckland or upon request.
InterCity bus stops in front of lodge, twice daily.
By car, Whitianga is only two and a half hours drive from Auckland.
The Mercury Bay area of The Coromandel is one of quite stunning beaches and bays.
Azure blue waters roll onto clean white sands, while protective arms of bush clad hills shelter the bays and further enhance the scenic splendor of the area.
