Rayong, Thailand Youth Hostels
HI Rayong is locayed nearby Mae Rampeung Beach where it is in Rayong Province. Rayong Province is located on Thailand's eastern seaboard, about 220 km. from Bangkok on Highway No. 3. Rayong is famous among tourists for its interest exciting activities. There are 3 distinct attractions on this coastal province, the first is beautiful white sandy beaches both on the mainland and islands.
Mae Rampeung Beach is the longest and most beautiful beach on the mainland. The second is the variety of delicious seafood at reasonable price. The last but not least is regional fruits such as durian, rambutan, mangoesteen, pineapple and long-kong are harvested in May each year. Preserved well known seafood are
shrimp paste, fish sauce and dried seafood available year round. Don't let the chance pass by without going inside the heart of Rayong and you will find it is a very wonderful trip.
How to get to HI Rayong.
1. From Suvannabhum Airport: Take a bus directly to Rayong bus terminal. It cost about 150 Baht (sky blue with white color is a first class bus). This will take about 2 and a half hour. The bus from the Airport to Rayong is not so many. It needs to enquire the ground hostage for schedule.
2. From Bangkok: Take a bus from Ek-ka-mai or Moh-chit bus terminal to Rayong bus terminal. It cost about 155 Baht (sky blue with white color is a first class bus). It will take about 3 to 3 and half hour. The bus leave every 40 - 60 min.
3. From Rayong bus terminal: Take minibus (Song-taew) sky blue color, Route Rayong-Mae Rampeung Beach-Kon Ao-Wat Nai Rai. Tell the driver to stop at HI Rayong (Baan Na Na Chat Rayong). It will take about 30 min.to arrive HI Rayong and cost 20 Baht. The Song-taew parks infront of the bus terminal starting at 07.00 hr., the last one is 18.00 hr. The bus leave every 15 min. Special hire for a minibus is possible but it will cost 150-200 Baht.
