Do you want to really get away from it all?

Giant Kid Adventures is offering custom kayak tours to some of the Sierra's most beautiful lakes. Our guides will take all of the work and hassle out of enjoying your trip into the backcountry. We'll pick you up at the Reno/Tahoe Airport or your Hotel, then carry you away to a remote high mountain lake in the Sierra for a few days of kayaking, hiking, fishing, relaxing, photography, and sleeping under the stars.

Our mission is to cater to your needs, educate you in the wonders of nature, and provide you with an outdoor experience that you'll never forget.

Typical Day

One of the many indulgences we like to share with our customers is the fine art of relaxation. Once we make camp there are no schedules to keep, no itineraries, no deadlines, no pressures, and no interruptions.

Kayaking, hiking, fishing, swimming and exploring are all great fun, but it's our belief that spending a day relaxing in camp can be just as satisfying. So, while some in the group may be out enjoying day of activity and exploration, you are more than welcome to enjoy a day of lounging in a hammock with a good book and a cool glass of lemonade (a practice recommended by many of our customers)

Our tours are set at a leisurely pace with a foundation built upon relaxation. We take pride in our customer service. We do a little fishing when the mood strikes, some hiking, take a few photographs, point out the constellations in the night sky and watch for shooting stars. We howl at the moon, sing and tell stories around the campfire, and look for cool bugs, but most of all we have fun in everything we do, because that's what being a Giant Kid is all about.

Given the choice between becoming grown-ups, or taking people out on camping trips, we chose to forfeit adulthood and go camping instead.

Age range, type of group

Giant Kid Adventures specializes in catering to small groups and families (4-8 people), partly because we want to keep our impact on the wilderness as minimal as possible, but mostly because when we labor excessively catering to larger groups, it starts to feel too much like a real job, and that's a Giant Kid no-no.

Sleeping and meals

Dispersed camping and sleeping under the stars. Meals catered to group. Campfire cooking at its finest. Meals, camping gear, kayaks and instruction provided.

Rates

Our Adventures start at $300/person for three days and two nights, with additional nights for $100/person. Prices may increase with premium menu items. All trips are booked midweek, Sunday through Thursday.
