Description
The Las Gaviotas is a lovely, gated community of 300 homes located approximately eight miles south of Rosarito in Baja California. There is much to do in this picturesque, private resort area. To begin, there are two public golf courses with stunning ocean views, tennis, volleyball, and swimming. Other activities nearby include horseback riding, surfing, deep sea and surf fishing, snorkeling and whale watching. Baja���s famous wine region is just a thirty-minute drive away from Las Gaviotas.
The guests will be captivated with the seasonal appearance of schools of dolphins and migrating California Grey Whales, and hundreds of pelicans and swallows. Flowers and brightly colored Bougainvillea spill over paths and window boxes, making Las Gaviotas one of the most beautifully groomed communities in Baja. One might also want to take a day to explore the nearby villages of Puerto Nuevo (Lobster Village) and Rosarito Beach.
