Fafa Island Resort, an 18 acres palm covered atoll, is located only 30 minutes by motor sailor from Nukualofa, the capital of the Kingdom of Tonga on the main Island. <BR><BR>The island is guarded by a coral reef ensuring all time safe swimming and snorkeling in crystal clear blue waters. Deserted sand beaches invite you to relax and lie in the sun.<BR><BR>The accommodation on the Resort is like a Polynesian village surrounded by gardens. A maximum of 26 guests stay in traditional Tongan style Fales all facing the beach. The Bungalows are built with natural materials - palm poles, wooden shingles, coconut thatch and palm timber floors. All Fales are just a few steps from the waters edge with unobstructed views of the ocean, each with its private beach and they are provided with maximum privacy as they are set far apart from each other.<BR><BR> All Fales have a courtyard with semi open bathroom and the shower in a private flower garden. A covered veranda, spacious bedrooms with king size beds, dressing room, ceiling fan, hammock and beach beds. Some Deluxe bungalows have an extra building containing the bathroom, a walk in wardrobe and extra room for 2 beds, plus a large partly covered veranda with comfortable deck chairs. <BR><BR>Dine under the stars in the open air restaurant on the beach or indoors in the traditional thatched Fale. Fafa cuisine is famous for its unique contemporary Pacific European gourmet dishes. The open air cocktail bar offers of course a wide range of tropical cocktails and wines. <BR><BR> There is free use of paddle boats, snorkeling equipment, French boule and volleyball. Daily snorkel trips to unspoiled reefs and islands are also available. Diving and game fishing can be organized with local operators. To protect the coral lagoon, no motorized water sports are allowed. <BR><BR>A delightful resort with an uncomplicated lifestyle where bungalows have no TV or telephone. Let our local staff entertain you with a weekly Polynesian dance show.
