Malaga, Spain Bed & Breakfasts

Surrounding Area
Benamocarra is well positioned not only for the beaches of the Costa del Sol but, is also an excellent location for exploring the beautiful inland areas of the Axarquia region within Andalucia with its white towns and villages dotted about the countryside. One of the oldest cities in Spain is Ronda which is to the north of Malaga and has the oldest bullring in the country which was built in 1785. Ronda is famous for its spectacular setting and views of the bridge over the El Tajo ravine. Other historic cities that are beautiful and worth visiting are Seville, Cordoba and Granada with its spectacular Alhambra (advisable to book entry tickets before making the journey)

There is a bus service that runs from the village (bus stop 100m from house) with routes to the nearest town of Velez Malaga (4Km) and nearest beach resort of Torre del Mar(9Km) where there is a terminal with the option to travel further afield to Granada and down to Malaga too. It is recommended that you have the use of a car to explore the region
If you are wanting to relax and enjoy the sun, sand and sea, our nearest coastal resort is Torre del Mar which is essentially a Spanish resort, with a 3Km long promenade that stretches all the way to the marina and fishing port of Caleta de Velez. There are many chiringuitos (beach bars) to sample and enjoy, at most of these you can also hire beach beds with parasols for the day. To the west of Torre del Mar (2Km) beaches for naturists can be found but, these are well signposted so you shouldn’t stray onto them by mistake!

The Costa del Sol has a wealth of beaches and with more than 300km of Mediterranean coastline it is still possible to find smaller secluded beaches and rocky coves. To the east of Nerja you will find the coastal village of Maro where you can enjoy beautiful views from the cliffs. Continue your journey eastwards and you will soon enter the region of Granada and the Costa Tropical resorts of Almunecar, La Herradura and Salobrena. The Granada region is an area where Tapas are still served free with a glass of beer or wine.

Travel westwards to Malaga and beyond and you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the larger and more well known resorts of Torremolinos, Fuengirola and Marbella. Even further west (2hrs) is Gibraltar. Remember your passports and don’t be tempted to exceed your duty free allowances, they do random checks and know all the hiding places in cars.
There are several marinas on the Costa del Sol and two worth a visit are Benalmádena with its individual architechture and Puerto Banus.

Goodbnb makes an ideal base when searching for your own ‘Place in the sun’. We are only 10 minutes away from the motorway network which will help you plan your viewing schedules with ease and make the exploration of the villages and countryside much easier and enjoyable. With more than 70 estate agents in Torre del Mar alone you should be able to find the place of your dreams.

Directions
PLEASE NOTE If you are travelling from the "Almeria" direction please join the E15-n340 towards Malaga, leave at Junction 272 and follow directions below and turn inland on the A356 .
DIRECTIONS TO GOOD BnB FROM MALAGA AIRPORT.
Immediately after leaving the airport you come to a roundabout, continue straight ahead but as you exit the roundabout you need to be in the left lane – that is signposted ‘Malaga N340’.

Continue over the bridge keeping right and join the motorway under the bridge.
You are on this road for a short distance(approx 1.5 / 2Km), stay in the lane that you join.
DO NOT TAKE JUNCTION 4 signposted for “Poligonos”
As you pass junction 4 the sign overhead reads 500m to the next junction, this is the junction that you will be taking. (Traffic will be joining from your right but stay in the lane that you are in this lane naturally veers off to the right to join the E15 - A7)
You will pass a Fiat dealer on your right..
The sign at the junction you will take reads "E15-A7 ‘Motril, Antequera and 'Palacio de Ferias". The road loops off to the right over the road that you are about to join.
The road that you have just joined is ‘Autovia E15-A7’.
You now need to continue towards ‘Almeria’ and ‘Motril’. Stay on this road until junction 272 (37Km).
Take note of any signs for ‘Velocidad controlado por Radar’ there is a speed camera there.
Leave the motorway at junction 272 –on the slip road stay in the left side lane & turn left under the Autovia, follow signs to ' A356' 'Vinuela, Colmenar and Zafarraya '. At the next roundabout (Repsol Garage on your left) go straight ahead – signposted for 'Velez-Malaga Norte' (Benamocarra is now shown on the road signs).
At the next roundabout (approx. 2km & another Repsol garage on your left) continue straight ahead for a further 1km and then turn right to Benamocarra. Take the next left and then left again over the bridge , following the signs for Benamocarra (take care here, these two junctions are confusing and priority is not obvious).
Continue on this road for approx. 4km into the village of Benamocarra. On entering the village, you will pass a garage on your right. On the left side of the road there is a small shrine followed by several fruit trees. At the end of the trees there is a bar called 'La Granparada' followed immediately by a road junction to your left. At this road junction we have a red & white sign for GOOD BnB. Turn left here and park (within the next 50 metres) this is "Avenida Blas Infante".
Ring us when you arrive & we will walk to meet you (40 mtrs up a small hill)
