This is an ancient way of celebrating Easter in Africa. Many people visit Ethiopia because of the incredible manner in which ancient historical traditions and unique African culture have been preserved. Some of the ceremonies and the rituals of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church open a window on the authentic world of the Old Testament.

This cultural tour is specially desi...gned along the Ethiopia’s Historic Route to coincide with Ethiopian Easter Festival (Fasika). This is one of the nine most colorful celebrations in Ethiopia. This cultural tour also takes you in the footsteps of the Queen of Sheba, among which four of the sites are listed in UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Marvel at the spectacular 2,000-year-old stele at Axum, the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela built more than 800 years ago, the castles of Gondar, the island monasteries of Lake Tana, the magnificent Simien Mountains, the Great Blue Nile Falls and last but not least, it’s friendly and charming people
