Serenity Sands is a fabulous accommodation with the caveat that they are off grid and frugal with using resources. Our room was a suite with a wraparound deck, the facilities were awesome, breakfasts were delightful, the manager Penny, was a delight, the Oceanside sitting area was lovely. If you don't like dogs, hate birds, need 24 hour access to services, you will have a difficult time here as you would anywhere in Corozal. This place is far enough from Corozal to be tranquil and close enough to service all your needs.
It was a 8minute drive to Corozal along a slightly bumpy road.
The house is amazing, a superb high end finish , spacious rooms with balcony , the bed is so comfy get ready to relax.
Great cross ventilation, we had no need to use the air con or even the ceiling fan.

After a short drive on a dirt road I arrived at Serenity Sands. I was amazed, the website photos did not do this gem justice.
My room was beyond my expectations for the price that I was paying.I had to see more, minutes to the the natural shoreline setting in which I would spend many hours in the next few days. Directions
Note: there are rather large speed bumps on the Northern Hwy as you enter towns along the way, make sure to slow down.
From the Mexican border: After leaving the Santa Rita border crossing parking lot turn left (south) onto the Northern Hwy. Follow the highway approx 10 min until you reach a T intersection, turn left into Corozal. Follow the road into Corozal, the road curves to the right, immediately after the curve turn left at the 1st road (there is a small monument on meridian at this corner) onto 1st St South. Continue on 1st St South until you reach 4th Ave, turn left onto 4th Ave (past the park) and follow out of town, the road then becomes Consejo Rd.
From Corozal to Serenity Sands: Follow Consejo Rd for 6.5 km (4 miles). Turn right at the Serenity Sands sign. Follow this road 1.2 km (0.75mile), turn on the 1st right, follow this road turning left, then right until you reach Serenity Sands.
