There are several beautiful mountain lakes close by where you can swim, sun bathe, walk or picnic, and the Mediterranean coast is just under 1 hour drive from Chez Providence.
Just 25 minutes drive is the magnificent Medieval City of Carcassonne a UNESCO world heritage site along with the Canal du Midi. Films and books such as 'The Labyrinth', have been based on the area of Carcassonne and the Languedoc. The city offers restaurants, shopping, bars, and nightlife, along with pleasant walks and beautiful lakes and parks.

We offer 4 b&b
rooms + a s/c studio apartment and evening meals (by reservation) in a traditional French village house which dates back to a 12th Century village ramparts now fully modernized but retaining charm and character with exposed beams and exposed stone walls, our comfortable lounge has a huge fireplace and leads to a sunny balcony with a view of the garden, valley, river 'Dure' and surrounding woods. Our sunny garden has sun loungers to relax on and a bbq with tables and chairs.
Our tastefully decorated bedrooms all have seating areas with tea & coffee facilities and are served daily and have free Wi-Fi.

La Cite a Carcassonne offers the medieval 'cite' with restaurants, shopping, bars, and nightlife. The village has good amenities which include a bakers, village store, butchers a friendly restaurant bar and a hotel restaurant bar. In the surrounding village there are some good restaurants and auberges including Michelin star restaurants.
Evening meals are available (1st night) by reservation, Christina and Nico offer regional and traditional French cuisine. There are tea & coffee facilities in each room and they are serviced daily and you are able to use the washing machine and iron subject to availability. Free Wi-Fi and an honesty/storage fridge and for baby we have cots, a high chair, a baby bath, a potty and a bottle warmer.
