A beautiful bungalow in Shimla District.
set amidst an apple orchard. It has all modern amenities including attached bathrooms, cable tv in all rooms, modular kitchen and spacious lounge and lawns. It is located 85 kms from Shimla town in a serene apple belt with a splendid view of the Himalayas and a river valley. It adjoins a lush pine forest which is ideal for camping, trekking, and jungle walks. The place (shelapani) is a great getaway for nature lovers, adventure enthusiasts and those who wish to be far from the madding crowd in peaceful and healthy atmosphere. One can also savor the local pahari culture here with includes a mix of local dances, festivals, and ancient traditions.
The main attraction however is the apple season. One can witness the apple blossom, apple harvest, the autumn in all its idyllic glory. In the winters one can enjoy snowfall and participate in adventure related adventure activities. day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Shimla railway station; transfer to farm. Welcome drink with hosts Sudhir Khimta
before dinner.
Day 2: Accustom yourself to the beautiful place shelapani , and on arrival at the bungalow, take in the breathtaking
panoramic views that stretch over the Pabber river valley right over to snow bounded himalayan ranges .
On your return we stop for a typical Tuscan lunch out on the terrace of a local rustic restaurant.
Day 3: Today we have a half day horse ride up to the Badrol heights (top mountain point in Mandhol)
After negotiating forest tracks, we ride through pine jungle up to famous PWD rest house.
From here we ride back through jungle to the apple farm for lunch.
Day 4: Today we enjoy the stunning historic hike up to Giri Ganga , a beautiful place in Height of kharapatthar .
We return transfer to and from GiriGanga where you can catch the vehicle.
Day 5: Today We start off driving through forests, and then head through the lovely village mandhol,kayna,sheelghat
up through private orchards and farmland and then through to the river Pabber.
and settle down for a a picnic lunch on the banks. (can try fishing also )
We return to the Dwarika residency via lush apple orchards, forest tracks, and mountain drives.
Day 6: Today you saddle up early for an adventurous drive up to Canchal heights.
, including fields of wild flowers, lakes, and the ever present rolling landscapes typical of the area.
Ride into a village called Seema, where there is a fantastic view over the surrounding landscape.
, crossing the river Pabber for a long canter along the flatlands, before crossing the river again
to return to Rohroo small shopping town .
Day 7: Morning at leisure, if you wish we can organize a hike up to another wonderful mountain height Kuppar
, otherwise spend the morning relaxing at the residency with a nice book .
In the late afternoon we take you on a final hike through the spectacular Apple orchards and landscape,
in village brall side arriving home in the dusky twilight.
Day 8: Drop-off at the station after breakfast.

The amazing things you'll be doing at DWARIKA RESIDENCY SHELAPANI SHIMLA HILLS !
By day, the changing landscape and rhythmic pace of the HORSE through the beautiful
and tranquil PINE JUNGLE will replace the tensions of our modern world with peaceful environment and healthy atmosphere .
By night, the SHELAPANI 'S sky is a truly magical experience. Our treks are with local guides with expert
knowledge and good linguistic skills and provide a balance of adventure and safety.
You can sleep under the stars, or for those that prefer to be undercover, a canvas tent will be available each
night.
Driving to shelapani, you will be experincing the up and down mountain roads with river side effect and
beautiful bungalow also for an overnight stay, with 1.5 km drive in 4x4 vehicle.

You will walk and ride through the middle of the Pine forest from one great dune to another and see the Himalayan
mountain covered with snow and pabber kund named Chanchal. You'll pass Deodars and Oaks, see the
cold springs, and enjoy the apple orchard. Cooking is by no means a woman’s responsibility.
Shelapani men are excellent cooks, and the food is organic and natural, freshly prepared on an open fire
in the traditional way. You will eat fresh fruit, salads tossed in oil and a variety of dishes made from meat,
vegetables, pasta and spices, and of course, sidcous. IndianBread (Chappati) is freshly made in the embers
of the fire each day, and traditional tea and coffee are also available. Special dietary requirements can be
catered for on request. Fresh flowing spring water will be freely available.

Our treks are of moderate difficulty, allowing the combination of walking and Horse riding as you choose.
These treks can be made more strenuous for the more experienced and those into extreme sports.
Trips can alternatively be completed in 4x4 vehicles; prices available on request.
