Our Homestay is a pleasant escape for the travel weary backpacker or anyone in search of a good home-cooked meal and a bottle of home made wine.
We are conveniently located just above the city with beautiful views of the river and the city cathedral from our wrap around porch. Many churches are within walking distance (10 minutes) as well as the city’s ruined citadel and a lovely market with helpful owners who will gladly teach you a few Georgian words. We have had many travelers from all over the world and you can read about their experiences in our numerous guestbooks. We'll also teach you to play a unique and delightful version of dominoes which will surely delight the competitor in you as you rise to the challenge of our house champ! We also provide meals for a small price and always have hot water for a good shower. We hope you will enjoy Giorgi's Homestay and we welcome you to Georgia.

Directions
From the central bus station: Take marshrutka/mini-bus #1 to the city center--get off at the stop across from the bazaar. (price .30/.40 GEL).
From the city center: it is a 10 minute walk. You will see a sort of semi circle of white knee high fence out the left hand window of the bus. Walk directly behind the bus, over the bridge, cross the street, and walk past the greenish statue of a guy standing with his hand on his hip and some ethereal creature swooping down on him. Start walking up the hill on the brick road in front of the statue. Keep on the brick road up and up and curve to the left when the road does. When you get to the 'top' you will see a large tree at the fork in the road with some tables underneath. Turn right onto the paved street there. Turn onto the first road on your left. It is not a really well paved road. Pass the school on your right and Giorgi's gate is just past it--house #14.
