
Hostel Firenze is the first real youth hostel in the historical city centre of Palermo. The hostel is reborn from an old elegant hotel in liberty style which immerges you in the romantic past when Palermo was an affluent city. Now the hostel is runned by the Italo-Dutch Bruno family.
Hostel Firenze is located in Via Candelai in the lively heart of Palermo's nightlife. Surrounded by pubs, bars and restaurants, the hostel is the ideal location for young travellers.
The hostel is close to the major monuments of Palermo's historical centre (Teatro Massimo, la Cattedrale, i Quattro Canti, Piazza Marina and Palermo's colourful markets) and is thus the perfect starting point for a complete sightseeing tour.

Hostel Firenze has a big kitchen, two panoramic terraces with gardens in babylonian style that provide an ideal ambience to relax or to eat a meal.
The hostel provides double beds with or without bathroom and dorms with 2, 3 or 4 sleeping places with shared bathrooms. There is also the possibility to watch T.V.
All rooms are equipped with bed linen and washbasins. We provide towels, hairdryer, iron/ironingboard and ventilators for free on request. There is a computer with internet access that can be used by the guests

Directions
It is very easy to arrive at Hotel Firenze. Coming from the train station, Piazza Giulio Cesare, you can arrive at the hostel in 15 minutes walking, following the Via Maqueda turning left in the Via Candelai. Otherwise you can take the bus 101 and get off at the bus stop of the'Vucciria' market in the Via Roma. Following the Via Venezia you will find the Via Candelai in front. We are there.
Coming from the harbour you can arrive at the hostel following the Via Emerico Amari till you arrive at the Via Roma. Here you can take the bus 101 in the direction of the train station. From the airport you can find trains from the 'Servizio Trinacria Express' (www.trenitalia.it) which go every 30 minutes to the train station of Palermo. It takes about 45 minutes to arrive there. The price of a ticket is around 5 Euro. You can also take a bus that goes every 30 minutes to the train station from the company Prestia e Comandè
