Casa Abril

Casa Abril is a small, family owned an operated lodge ,ideal for the indepent traveler; , located in the Church of the Expiatorio Plaza, in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Guadalajara. From the Plaza you can move easily around the city, thus getting to know the historic area downtown, including the coffee shops and galleries on Chapultepec Avenue.

The place counts with a warm homelike atmosphere and setting. It is comfortably yet simply furnished. It is fully run by its owners. Its excellent location also offers comfortable benches right in front of the plaza which offers cultural events in the evenings such as dancing lessons, as well as a bakery, ice-cream parlor, art gallery, restaurants and convenience store. This clean, well located and cozy property is an excellent option for staying in a safe and relaxed part of the downtown area of Guadalajara.

Build in 1950's, the property has a clear and very particular style, very of the Guadalajara's most famous arquitects style. It was newly renovated in early 2008.

From the Airport:
If you decide to take a cab from the airport we encourage you to take one from the inside
Isles, it will take around 30 to 40 min to get to Casa Abril and it will cost you around 180 pesos,(18 usd ) Ask the taxi driver to go to the Church of el Expiatorio, Casa Abril is on the right hand side of the church.
You can also take the ATASA bus, that leaves every hour on the hour from 6:oo am to 10:oo pm m to s from the airport, this bus will get you to the Moderna rotond . It will take around 50 minutes and it will cost you 10 pesos ( 1 usd) per person, Casa Abril is 10 blocks north from there, you can then take a cab for around 25 pesos (2.50 usd) from there to Casa Abril.

From the bus Station:
If you decide to take a cab from the bus station , we encourage you to take one of the authorized ones, that are just outside the station, it will take 30 to 40 minutes and it will be around 130 pesos, (13 dllrs). Ask the taxi driver to go to the Church of El Expiatorio, Casa Abril is on the right hand side of the church. You can also ride the cardenal bus, which is the 709 route and is a red one, it passes every 15 minutes from 6:00 am to
9:00 pm monday to saturday and it cost 9.50 pesos (.95 usd), it will take 50 min and you have to get off the bus in the corner of La Paz Av and Enrique Diaz de Leon Av, Casa Abril is 5 blocks north from there.

THE VALLARTA BUS STATION
You can take a cab from the bus station , it will take 30 min and it will cost you around 100 pesos ( 10 usd ). Ask the taxi driver to go to The Church of El expiatorio, Casa Abril is on the right hand side of the Church. You can also ride the Pre Tren route,leading Juarez Station , is a red one and it will cost you 5 pesos ( .50 usd ) and it will be 30 minutes. You have to get off the bus in Escorza St and Pedro Moreno St. , Casa Abril is 3 blocks south from there.
