Ulumani - Treetops Rainforest New Bungalow: Single bedroom fully self contained eco-tourism bungalow. The New Bungalow has a large sweeping wrap around verandah area providing a perfect setting for relaxed forest, mountains, valleys and bay views. Ulumani - Treetops Rainforest consists of a two-room cottage and an eight-bedroom lodge set in the forested foothills of the Pini Ranges. Both buildings have commanding views over the forest and bay. All amenities are provided with power and hot and cold water. The cottage comfortably sleeps four guests and is fully self contained with a main bedroom and second bedroom which doubles as the living area.

The kitchen area is equipped with a dining table & chairs, refrigerator and stove. The bathroom provides toilet with bath and shower facilities. In the lodge each guest has a separate bedroom. Each room comfortably sleeps two persons and there is mains power to all rooms. The kitchen area is equipped with a good food preparation area with sinks, bench tops, gas cookers and power.

From the capital, Port Moresby, it is a short 50-minute flight eastwards along the southern flanks of the Owen Stanley mountain range to Milne Bay. The national airline, Air Niugini and the domestic carrier, Airlines of Papua New Guinea provide daily jet services from Port Moresby to Gurney airport, the point of arrival for Milne Bay.

Visitors arriving at Gurney are met by your friendly host and driven to Alotau, the provincial capital of Milne Bay Province. Alotau is 15 minutes by all weather road from Gurney. Guests usually make Alotau their first stop in order to purchase groceries and provisions from a selection of well stocked supermarkets prior to proceeding onto Ulumani - Treetops Rainforest lodge.

Ulumani - Treetops Rainforest lodge is an 80 minute drive from Alotau. Ulumani - Treetops Rainforest is situated on the southern arm of Milne Bay and from the lodge you can look out over the bay toward Alotau township. It is built in an area of pristine forest on land owned by the traditional customary landowners.
