The SOL DE ORO BACKPACKERS HOSTEL hadn`t change address recently.
When you get the bus station and ask for any taxi driver to bring you till here and he says something like:
It doesn`t exist any more !
They had changed address !
They are full booked !
Don`t trust them !!!! Never!
Just be calm and answer saying that your are been advised that they would probably offer another places to stay and you will write down all the information about the taxi as number ,name of the company and taxi driver and will give for the owner of hostel where you are booked and them will take the action.
For security just take another taxi and always from inside the bus terminal.

Sol de Oro Backpackers hostel welcomes you to Arequipa, Peru with open arms and facilities that are sure to please. We are located in the center of town, only three blocks away from the Plaza de Armas, `el Corazon` of the white city. This means you will be close to just about everything, including museums, banks, supermarkets, shopping, and the stunning old colonial homes. We are a cozy hostel in the center of the city with friendly family service.
Sol de Oro Backpackers offers several types of entertainment facilities to enjoy. We have a beautiful and colorful terrace to have breakfast on as well and relax and enjoy the free wifi on your laptops. Our bar is also located on the terrace and is a great place to pass time with friends. Below there is a green garden with a newly installed cabana. In the garden one can enjoy the shining Arequipan sun and barbeque, while feeling comfortable in your temporary place of residence. Above we have a new movie room with a 32 inch plasma television, along with a selection of DVDs and a playstation component.
We offer games. The games include a pool table, ping pong table, foosball, sapos (a Peruvian table game), and darts. There are two computers with free internet and skype, as well as a stereo to play music. We also have a book exchange (one of one).
There is a fully loaded kitchen to cook dinners and lunch in. In the morning we offer a wonderful breakfast that includes eggs, granola and yogurt, along with local breads and jams, and an assortment of hot beverages and fresh juice!
The rooms are all equipped with televisions. The beds all have brand new mattresses to ensure you sleep comfortably. All of the rooms, except for the 6 bed dorm, have private bathrooms with solar and gas powered hot water available 24 hours a day.
Our friendly and helpful staff can assist with our laundry services as well as information about the city and the surrounding regions to visit. Arequipa is a beautiful city with a plaza framed by stunning volcanoes, and colonial architecture. Be sure not to miss the sunset behind the volcano Misty, which only enhances the charm of Arequipa.

The hostal is situated right in the centre of Arequipa, only 7 minutes from the bus terminal and 15 minutes from the airport.
