We invite you to discover a village with a unique history that dates back to 131 AD. Filled with many tourist attractions, and surrounded by impressive scenery, Rosia Montana is bound to capture your imagination.
The owner of the hostel is a young guy, Andrei, that is also an excellent local guide and can show you all the hot spots in Rosia and tell you the stories of the place.
The hostel La Gruber is easily accessible by any means of transport
The hostel was recently renovated and has all the facilities one needs: bathroom with shower-cabin and hot water, comfortable beds, and a self-catering kitchen that includes a fridge, sink, table ware etc. We also have a small terrace where you can eat your breakfast or drink your morning coffee.

We do not have any restrictions about check-in and check-out but in case our guests arrive late or leave at night, we need to know ahead of time; they should call us if they are arriving late, because we do not have 24 h reception, but since the owner lives in the same house he can always wake up and welcome the guests. Also, it is generally better if we know when our guests arrive so that we pick them up when they reach Gura Rosiei (this is the entrance in rosia montana, which is about 6 km from the hostel).

Rosia Montana is a long, linear mountain village. For this reason, the distance from Gura Rosiei to La Gruber is 6 km. We recommend you hitch-hike from Gura Rosiei to the hostel, or you can call Andrei and he could pick you up and drive you to the hostel. The hostel is on the right side of the street, just after a country road that goes right into the hills.
