The BEST location in Taipei downtown!! Located next to TAIPEI 101 (tallest building in the world) and inside the biggest NIGHT MARKET(Tonghua night market) in Taipei. Famous Bars and Clubs near by. Convenient to walk to metro station and bus stop. Ready to experience authentic Taiwanese culture!

JV's Hostel has two buildings located next to each other. Before you book, please read the descriptions of the different places.

Hostel: In this building, we provide mixed dorm rooms and private rooms. None of the rooms has a bathroom inside, bathrooms are shared. There is a big common area where you can hang out with friends.

Studio: In this building, each room has a bathroom inside. In each room, we also provide TV with cable, internet, fridge, and washer. Here we don't provide a common area, it will be suitable for guests who need more privacy.

If you book a private room with a shared bathroom, you will be in the hostel building. If you book the private room with a bathroom inside, you will stay in the studio building.

We provide coffee, tea and toast all the time in the hostel building for all of our guests.

Check-in time: 2pm -12:00am
Check-out time: 12pm(noon).

Please note:
We are a hostel for budget travelers, not a full-service hotel. Our facilities are shared, and we only provide limited service for guests. Our prices for comfortable accommodation are quite reasonable, but we do not provide the same level of personal service as an expensive hotel. Also we don't have elevator in two buildings, please consider this when booking our hostel.

Directions:
Because we are located next the night market (very convenient, but probably will be confused in the first time you get here) so PLEASE DON'T FOLLOW THE ADDRESS, JUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS BELOW which will help you to find the way easily.

**By taxi: Ask the driver to drop you at the corner of Tonghua St. Lane 101 (通化街101巷巷口). There is a COME BUY tea shop in the Tonghua St. Lane 101 corner. Walk into the Tonghua St. Lane 101, we are in the first left side building after the first intersection. The first floor is a tattoo parlor. When you arrive, just press the buzzer and we'll let you in. (From Taoyuan Airport to Taipei downtown will cost you NT1300 by taxi)

**By Airbus No. 2060: From Taoyuan Airport, take Airbus No. 2060 (NT145 per person) to Far Eastern Plaza Hotel (遠東飯店).
1. When you are dropped off at Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, you will be on Sec. 2, Dunhua S. Rd.Facing the road and with your back to the hotel, turn right and walk about 2 minutes on Dunhua S. Rd.
2.After passing a parking lot on your right, take a right at the first intersection. When you turn right, you will see a 21st Century sign. Continue walking even after the sidewalk stops.
3.After walking past 2 traffic light intersections, at the 3rd traffic light intersection there is a Family Mart convenience store on your left. Turn left onto Tonghua Street.
4.Turn right on Tonghua St. Lane 101(There is a COME BUY tea shop in the Tonghua St. Lane 101 corner). After the first intersection, we are in the first building on your left, right above a tattoo parlor on the first floor. When you arrive, press the buzzer, and we'll let you in. (Tonghua St. Lane 101 is before Linjiang St. (the night market street), so if you have passed Linjiang St., you have gone too far.)

**By Metro: Our hostel is near Liuzhangli Metro Station in Brown Line.
1.From Liuzhangli MRT station, cross the round-about intersection to Leli Rd. After you begin walking on the Leli Rd., take a right turn on Tonghua Street.
2.Walk on Tonghua St. until you arrive Tonghua St. Lane 101(There is a COME BUY tea shop in the Tonghua St. Lane 101 corner), and then turn right. We are in the first left side building after the first intersection. The first floor is a tattoo parlor. When you arrive, just press the buzzer and we'll let you in.

Directions

When you arrive at TaoYuan International Airport, you can:

1) Take a cab directly to our address (around 50 USD; 1 hour).

2) Take a bus (domestic transportation) to Taipei Main Station and then transfer to Guting MRT Station via MRT (Metro Rapid Transit) system, and take a 3-min walk to Chocolate Box (totally 5 USD/person).

You can see Our Map with Chinese descriptions (which you can show to the taxi driver).

The MRT system in Taipei is very convenient and efficient. When you arrive at Guting MRT Station, take Exit 3 and go straight down the road and then turn left at 'Family Mart'. Follow the map, you can easily find the sweet Chocolate Box.

※ Our reception hour starts from 9am till noon, and between 2pm and 8pm. If you are not checking in within our reception time, please inform us in advance so that we can arrange someone to help you in.
