Ionian Discoveries offers you the opportunity to join us on a superb day out on board a traditional Greek Caique (wooden boat). You may privately charter our vessel and have a day, half day or evening excursion planned for you or join us on our very popular "Marine Adventure day trip". Here we cruise the crystal clear waters of the Ionian offering you the chance to snorkel with tuition included and learn a little of the areas natural history and also the marine life that inhabits this area.

Typical Day


On a typical Marine Adventure cruise we spend the day in the Ithaca channel. This is a stunning area of water which separates the islands of Kefalonia and Ithaca. We visit several beautiful coves and beaches for snorkelling. At our first stop comprehensive lessons are given for beginners. Throughout the day there will be opportunities to help catch some examples of marine life to display in the on board aquarium. After a sumptous buffet we will give talks on the animals displayed in the tank with a chance for people to now get closer and even touch some of them.
