Typical Day

Day 1

Transfer from Airport and check into Hotel, three star self-catering hotel, where a double bedroom suite will be allocated to your group.

Visit the Lion Park, this tour takes you into four Lion camps, the closest you will ever get to encounter the King of the Jungle, see the new Cheetah and Hyena camps and enjoy a mini game drive to round off the experience, viewing more uniquely African wild animals. Then visit the Edu-Centre, where you will be allowed to play with and take photos of the lion cubs, feed the Giraffes named Purdy and Gambit from a raised platform while being photographed. The Lion Park is in fact a breeding project aimed at the conservation of endangered species.
Sterkfontein Caves – discovered in 1896 by an Italian prospector searching for gold but discovered lime to use in the mining industry, these caves have since revealed the most astounding remnants of human fossils ever discovered. Now a world heritage site, you will witness evidence of how life began on earth.
Maropeng – means “place of origin’ in Tswana, take an amazing journey through the 4 elemental forces of nature, earth, fire, water and air, to discover how our planet came to be 3 billion years ago. Sail on an underground lake through breathe-taking, beautiful re-creations of the four life-giving elements and you will begin to understand how these formed the earth into the place we call home today. This is a favourite for young and old!

Age range, type of group

Groups of up to twenty persons maximum per guide, ages 30 to 50, children, families, and seniors welcomed.

Sleeping and meals

Accommodation is bed and breakfast dinner optional at three star self catering game lodges or fully serviced hotels, choose between campfires or restaurants.

Rates

From ZAR 900.00 per day for group size 10 to 20 persons.
