Chalet Slovakia

Located in the historical tourist town of Liptovsky Mikulas we offer bike hire, transport around the local area, guiding, maps & free transfer from the local train station.

Mikulas is situated next to the magnificent Lake Mara and lies in the heart of the Tatra mountains on the main train line. There are world-class hiking, downhill and x-country mountain biking, an Olympic white-water rafting course in town, paragliding, go-karting, paint-balling, horse riding, quad-bikes, kayaking, hot springs aqua park, swimming in the Mara lake - most within walking distance. Plus many cultural events through out the summer months in the old town square.

Full cooked buffet breakfast is included; eggs, salami, ham, cheese, fresh bread, jams, yogurts, cereal, fresh fruit, tea, coffee and juice.

The Chalet has 4 ensuite bedrooms (14 beds in total), large communal lounge and dining room, wi-fi, large garden with BBQ, and lots of information, maps, help, ideas and enthusiasm from us for all the activities this gorgeous region has to offer.

We are also very close to Jasna - Central Europe\'s premier ski resort - and in the winter run our spacious converted house as a ski/board Chalet.

Chalet Slovakia has been set up by ex-back packers, Clare and Dan who are keen snowboarders, kayakers, mountain bikers and hikers. We are conveniently located on a quiet street 10 mins walk from the train station, bus station and just off the motorway. The town centre is a few minutes walk away with multiple restaurants, bars, shops, town square and other points of interest.

Directions

Liptovsky Mikulas has a train station on the main line that runs through Slovakia from Bratislava to Kosice. The bus station is adjacent to the train station. They are 1km from the Chalet.
The street address of the Chalet is 7 Soltesovej. Upon exiting the bus/train station, turn left, along road for 800m and look for street E.M. Sotesovej on the right hand side. Chalet is no.7. If possible we will pick up from the terminal.

The highway thru Slovakia also bypasses the town and the Chalet is not far from the exit. Upon exiting the motorway at Liptovsky Mikulas, follow the road past the Tescos lights into town and turn right at the lights at the bottom of the road. Follow the main road through town for 1km, and turn left after you pass the new shiny 'Jasna Shopping City' mall. Follow the road round to the left, turning right soon after, at the police station. Drive straight up Skolka Ulica (School Road), to the end and turn right at the end and then first left. We are #7, fifth house on the left.
