Spend a fabulous cooking holiday at the country farm "la volpe e l'uva" in the heart of Umbria, near to Tuscany. Just north of Perugia close to Assisi, Spello, Gubbio, Todi, Orvieto, Siena and Cortona. The farm is surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, olive trees and Etruscan and Medieval history. Raffaella, the owner of the farm, is waiting you to offer you an unique culinary adventure.

Learn to cook authentic Italian dishes in an informal and friendly environment where you will learn the passion of the Italian kitchen and have fun doing it. All cooking classes are hands-on, use the freshest of ingredients and sample the olive oil and wine produced directly on the grounds of the Agriturismo la volpe e l'uva! Our local chef will guide you through the preparation of simple but delicious Italian recipes and reveal some of her culinary secrets.
The cooking teacher speaks English so understanding won't be a problem. The cookery classes take place in the Raffaella's home.

1 DAY COOKING CLASS
It includes:
1 dinner/lunch, 1 cooking lesson of approximately 4 hours each, use of all facilities at the farm.

1 FULL COOKING DAY
It includes:1 cooking lessons of approximately 4 hours each,1 lunch and 1 gourmet tour (with minivan and car driver).

2 DAY COOKING PACKAGE
It includes:4 breakfasts, 3 cooking lessons of approximately 4 hours each, 3 lunches, 4 nights accommodations and use of all facilities at the farm, 3 half day excursions (with minivan and car driver).

4 DAY COOKING PACKAGE
It includes: 4 breakfasts, 3 cooking lessons of approximately 4 hours each, 3 lunches, 4 nights accommodations and use of all facilities at the farm, 3 half day excursions (with minivan and car driver).

7 DAY COOKING PACKAGE
It includes: 7 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 cooking lessons of approximately 4 hours, 7 nights accommodations and use of all facilities at the farm, 3 half day excursions (with car and car driver).

COOKING VACATION!
It is for people that is interested in the accommodation (4 / 7 nights) and in the cooking lessons.
It includes:3 lunches, 3 cooking lessons of approximately 4 hours each, 4/7 nights accommodations and use of all facilities at the farm.

Age range, type of group

Groups are keep small and vary between 2 and 6 participants, to better enjoy each other's company and to get all the attention from your hosts.
We also accept bigger groups (up to 20 person) for cooking classes and tours in Italy. If you are interested send me a request.

Sleeping and meals

LA VOLPE E L'UVA is a beautifully restored farmhouse set overlooking the Umbria Valley.
If you wish to experience the joy of authentic Umbrian living and explore the region and its splendor,
then La volpe e l'uva is the place for you. The farmhouse is in the beautiful heart of the Umbria valley, near to Tuscany, Italy, sourronded by 10 hectares of olive groves, vineyards and fruit trees.
Five independent apartments have been restored around the ancient stone house, which dates back to the 17th century.
It is only 4km far from the historic centre of Perugia and offers a suggestive view of the Umbrian hills.
The proximity to Perugia, makes the holidays farm's position ideal for visiting other artistic towns in Umbria , such as Assisi, Gubbio, Todi, Orvieto and the Trasimeno lake and towns in Tuscany like Siena, Arezzo and Cortona. There is a lovely swimming pool from which you can enjoy the panoramic view. All apartments have been comfortably furnished in farm-style teak furniture with great attention for detail. The farm lies on a hill and offers absolute peace and quiet with spectacular views of the surrounding hills and Perugia.
