Andrey and Nelieta welcome you to Hostel Tinktinkie!

We are a new hostel in Santa Rosa de Calamuchita. Our hostel is in the country side in the beautiful Calamuchita Valley. We are 80kms from Cordoba city and en-route to Mendoza, Rio Cuarto, Alta Gracia and Cordoba. The hostel is 300m from the Santa Rosa river. You can swim in the river or lounge at the 'beach'. Or take your hammock and swing it in a tree at the river. There are a lot of opportunities for hiking, sightseeing and relaxing. In the evening you can visit the nightclub and mingle with the local people. Or why not rent bycicles and explore the country side?

What do we offer you?

A hostel with a difference. We are not a big city hostel. While visiting us you will become part of our family and our day- to- day activities. We cook meals on request and our specialities are a mixture of the Russian, South African and Argentinian food.

Our rooms are new, modern and spacious. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms and hot water. Bedding and linen are included. Rooms have a magnificent view of the mountains, At night the sky is so clear you can pick the stars from the sky.

Breakfast consists of facturas and medialunas or eggs, sausages and bread...you choose!

Our common room is fully equipped for cooking, an LCD monitor for watching movies and a large library of DVD's and books. It also has a fire place for those cold winter nights.

Everything in our hostel was made by local people. We pride ourselves in the fact that we support our local community.

The bus stop is 700m from the hostel and run every 30 minutes to the town centre, Villa General Belgrano, Yakanto, Alta Gracia and Cordoba.

We will gladly wait for you at the bus terminal and arrange for a taxi tot take you to the hostel.We speak English, Spanish, Russian and Afrikaans as well as a little German and Dutch.

Directions

From Cordoba Capital:

Buses Sierras de Calamuchita and LEP leave from the terminal in Cordoba to Santa Rosa de Calamuchita every 30 minutes. We recommend LEP because it is quicker. From the terminal in Santa Rosa take a remise to the hostel or take another bus (Sierras de Calamuchita to Villa Parque o Embalse). Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to Portezuelo. We are 700m from the entrance on the corner of Enrique Discepolo and Hugo Del Carril.

From Buenos Aires or Rio Cuarto:

The entrance to 'El Portezuelo' is 200m from Valle del Sol in the main road (Ruta 5). There is a sign that says 'El Portezuelo'. Long distance busses we can recommend are Chevallier and San Juan Mar del Plata.
