Farmhouse Hostel

Farmhouse Hostel is situated at the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, inland on the western end of Kangaroo Island, between the Kelly Hill Caves Conservation Park and the Flinders Chase National Park. It is ideally located to offer you the opportunity to enjoy the world famous and unique natural environment of Kangaroo Island.

The Hostel is a short stroll from the Koala Walk so you will have native animals right up to your front door!

There is one dorm room with five beds and a private twin room which both share the communal bathroom. We also have two double rooms,both with en-suite bathrooms.

The large living room with DVD playback also has an adjoining snooker room. And the fully equiped kitchen opens onto a spacious dining room that also has an open fireplace for the colder winter nights and an outdoor BBQ with eating area for warmer summer nights!

Parking spaces for four cars.

We offer guided educational nocturnal walks, and self guided Koala spotting.
The local attractions are Flinders Chase National Park, Café, Remarkable rocks, Admirals Arch, Hanson Bay Beach, Walking trails, fishing, and native animals.
Local knowledge is available.

The nearest supermarket is 100km away in Kingscote so ensure all supplies are purchased before arriving here.

Directions

Located at Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary on South Coast Road, Karatta, approx 9 km on from Kelly Hill Caves.
***Ignore the road sign to Hanson Bay, do not go down the Hanson Bay dirt road***

The Hostel is NOT at Hanson Bay beach it is a further 3 KM after the Hanson Bay turn off .

Look for the orange flag and the sign.
