Cambridge Hotel Backpackers

The Cambridge Hotel Backpackers is the newest addition to Newcastles No. 1 live music venue. We are located 2 minutes walk from the train station, on the free city bus line or we're just a short walk into town. Our Hostel is a mix of 4-6 bed dorms, twin share and double rooms. Our common areas are a comfortable home away from home, and just down the stairs is the best pub in town! We are happy to organise tours and activities in our city and its surrounds.

Weekly Events:
TUESDAY- GAMES NIGHT: Free entry. Pool competition ($50 prize), Wii games, Guitar Hero, Table Tennis.

WEDNESDAY- STUDENT NIGHT: $3.50 drinks, free pool, live band, DJ's.

THURSDAY- CULT MOVIE NIGHT: Free entry, call ahead to reserve lounges. Check out what's playing on Facebook.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY: Live bands, go to our website for the gig guide, yourcambridge.com

We also have a delicious and cheap Bistromenu from Tuesday to Friday 10am-2pm or try our $10 pizzas, pasta and $3.50 crepes from Tuesday-Saturday 6pm-10pm. Wash it all down with $5 cocktails and $10 jugs.

Directions

We offer free pick up and drop off to the Greyhounds terminal and train station:
Mon- Fri: 8am - 6pm
Weekends: 8am - 12pm
After hours can be arranged in advance.

Our shuttle serice also operates to and from Newcastle Airport for $20 per person, again this needs to be arranged in advance.

BY TRAIN:
Wickham Station: head west along Hunter Street about 500 meters. We're on the corner of Wood and Hunter Street, just opposite The Store shopping complex.

Newcastle Station: Grab the free bus along Hunter Street, get off opposite The Store, we're on the corner.

BY CAR:
Take the Newcastle exit from the freeway and follow the signs to the city centre. We are 789 Hunter Street.
