Don Santiago Hostel

Don Santiago is a hostel for travelers run by travelers, and as you can tell by the reviews here, we provide a real free breakfast !!!
. (scrambled eggs, toasts, real coffee (no instant coffee, tea ,loads of fruits (orange- bananas-kiwis, grape)) milk , butter and jam. Also, we have Vegemite available for Aussies. In Chile, you can easily pay 4 USD for this kind of Breakfast in restorants.
(oh, and sorry that Chile is so expensive for all you travelers coming from Peru, and Bolivia -- that's not our fault!!)

Intimate, small, complete hostel , million miles away from the business-like check-'em-in check-'em-out hostels- You will be surprised by the excellent way the staff run this place, all of them musicians fantastically friendly and really feels like staying in a home with friends where you can relax and play music with the guys there, or just listen to them play .

We are located 3 blocks away from Plaza Brasil, the epicenter of the neighborhood´s 24-hour buzz. During the day, children play hide-and-seek among the colorful sculptures ; while night-time sees the plaza morph into a youngsters' meeting point before the party moves on to one the many nearby clubs and bars.
We are also renting this spectacular loft apartment only for blocks away from the hostel, right in front of Plaza Brasil,. check out the rates!
Our staff are really cool, always ready to throw a party, or just going out to the best spots in Santiago. Jordi, a little crazy but really cool, Ibo, always up for a drink and party (guitar player), Victor (bass player), Ester, already a legend making fresh breakfast every morning and Pato who`s, has been working with backpackers since 1999.

The house has no rules, only respect each other.

Enjoy the famous pisco sour madness evenings on Wednesdays and bbq`s on Fridays.

Directions

If you are coming from the airport, just take the bus Centropuerto, located outside the airport and get off at the last stop (Los heroes), which is on the main road( O´Higgins avenue) keep walking opposite to the traffic from the airport about 4 blocks and you´ll see a big church on the corner, (this is Ricardo Cumming Av, perpendicular to the main road. Make a right on Ricardo Cumming Av. and walk 4 short blocks, (it´s a red building with no sign, right next to the restaurant Care Palo, the one with wood masks on)

Also when you get off the bus, you can take the subway, make sure it´s direction San Pablo (only 1 stop away) and get off on Republica stop. Look out for the big church and make a right on Ricardo Cumming Av.

If you come from the bus terminal , just take the subway direction Escuela Militar, and get off on Republica stop, make a right on Ricardo Cumming
