Welcome to ArrowRock Lodge your Home away from Home

ArrowRock Lodge stands beside beautiful Lough Arrow, an area renowned for its great fishing lakes, and the highest density of megalithic tombs in Europe.

Arrowrock Lodge was originally a small rural hotel, we converted it to a hostel in 2009. We offer luxury hostel accommodation in a warm and friendly atmosphere were you can relax in our cosy lounge areas with open fire. Cook a meal in our large well equipped kitchen, then retreat to the dining room and enjoy the breathtaking views over Lough Arrow.

We are within easy reach of world famous Heritage sites such as Carrowkeel Megalithic Tombs, Carrowmore Ancient Burial Site, and the cliffs of Slieve League in Donegal, which are the highest sea cliffs in Europe with spectacular views of the Atlantic coast. Take in the world-famous Marble Arch Caves located in an UNESCO Geopark and less than 1hr from Arrowrock Lodge.

There are many other nearby attractions such as Zipit Lines in Lough Key Forest Park, Eagles Flying Centre, The Underground Arigna Coal Mine Tour, World Famous Strandhill & Bundoran Surf Beaches and the many other sightseeing locations in this rural part of Ireland.

Visit our own web site for more details.

We are always on hand to assist visitors with info and maps to help you enjoy your stay.

No car? No problem!!

We can collect you from Boyle, Co. Roscommon at either the Train Station or Bus Stop (next to the Boyle Tourist Office). Collection is available afternoons only but you must phone or email the day before to arrange pick up. Due to rising fuel costs a nominal charge of €5 each way applies, this just covers fuel cost, (each pick up or drop back involves a 24km round trip). This charge is per trip, not per person.

Directions

Arrowrock Lodge is on the eastern shore of Lough Arrow in County Sligo.

Driving Directions:

FROM DUBLIN:

Traveling from Dublin on the N4 you pass Boyle on your left, Lough Key on your right.

Immediately after passing the 2nd exit for Boyle move into the right hand lane, at the top of the hill turn right towards Ballyfarnon onto the L1013 (also signposted 'Arigna Scenic Drive').

Stay on the L1013, after 3km you meet a crossroads (signs for the Campsite & Rockview Hotel here). Continue straight ahead on the L1013.

After about 1.5km turn left (signs for the Campsite, Rockview Hotel and the Cromleach Lodge Hotel here). Continue on this road for about 3.5km and you will see the hostel on your right.

Be sure to follow the Campsite or Rockview Hotel signs from the N4 - we are 100 meters before the campsite on your right.

FROM SLIGO:

Leave Sligo on the N4 traveling towards Dublin.

Stay on the N4 until Castlebaldwin. DO NOT turn off to Riverstown (even if your GPS tells you to).

Turn left at Castlebaldwin, follow this road for 3km until you reach the Bow & Arrow Bar (Signs for Campsite here).

Turn right at the Bow & Arrow Bar, after 1.6km you reach a crossroads (Signs for the Campsite & Rockview Hotel here).

Turn right at this crossroads. After about 3.5km you will pass the campsite on your left. We are 100 mtrs further down this road also on your left.

Remember to follow the Campsite or Rockview Hotel signs from the N4.

Train & Bus:

Nearest Train Station and Bus Stop is Boyle, Co. Roscommon. Pick up is available (afternoons only) but you must email or phone the day before to arrange - see our website for details.

SatNav / GPS:

We prefer guests to follow our directions or download the map on our website. People using GPS often get lost, people using our map find us quickly.

If you insist on using GPS:

ArrowRock Lodge is listed on many SatNav Maps and on more recent versions of MS Autoroute (or search for Ballynary). If you can't find us use Castlebaldwin as a way point from the north or Corrigeenroe coming from the south.

Be careful with SatNav if coming from Sligo, it will send you on back roads through Riverstown village (you WILL get lost). It is easier to use our directions or follow our map, (available as a PDF on the location page of our website).

In case we arent listed on your version our latitude and longitude details are as follows:

54.0614 North
8.2989 West (Minus)
