Karlstad Hostel

At Karlstad Hostel you will stay comfortably accommodated within walking distance of the city centre. The standards of our facilities are high and guests often say it feels like a hotel rather than a hostel. - A great compliment that we are proud to live up to!

The whole building was renovated in 2007 and have now got 40 rooms, with everything from single rooms to dormitories to suit any request. Choose what you like according to your preferences! There is also a breakfast room, guest kitchen and a common room with TV. Shower and toilet facilities are provided in the corridor on all of our 4 floors.

The big river Klarälven flows through our beautiful town and right in the centre you will find a great place to lie in the sun and swim on warm summer days. Shopping, swimming and/or relaxation, it's up to you!

Karlstad Hostel is easy to find, easy to park by, easy to like! We look forward to be receiving your reservation :)

Directions

If you get to Karlstad by train or an intercity bus, you take bus number '6 Gruvplan' from down town. The closest stop is called Racketcenter. From there you will see our big red brick building, just follow the pedestrian's path up the hill.

If you come by car you will be on the E18 road which goes through Karlstad on its way from Stockholm to Oslo. From either direction you need to take the exit called Centrum AND Sjukhus (Hospital) AND Kasernhöjden. Once you are off E18, immediately continue towards Kasernhöjden. You will see our big red brick building on the top of the little hill, even from E18. There is free parking by the hostel, but remember to get a ticket from the reception upon check in.
