Green Lodge

Located in the midst of a typical Tongan village, yet quiet, convenient, private and safe and only five minutes to the centre of Nuku'alofa. Fenced, screened, hot water, fans, TV, broadband internet connection and with cooking facilities. Laundry service, airport transfers, island tours, rental car / bicycle and a Tongan feast can be arranged.

The Green Lodge is not about the luxury of a 5-star hotel at the expense of a fragile environment. It is about bringing our guests down to earth by giving them a true feel for what daily life is like in a developing small island country. It is about giving our guests a feel for what Tonga is about, their culture, beliefs and ways of doing things. It is about showing you our contraints and opportunities and about the blessings in the unity of human kind despite our diversity in cultures, locations, languages, religions and material wealth.

Directions

We are located on the way from the international airport to the main town centre / capital. In a small place where there is only one main road in and out of town, you can find us with your eyes closed as everyone knows each other and the island's 'coconut wireless' travels faster than sound.
