A half-day Mexico City Historical Center Tour includes a guided visit to the Zocalo or Main Square, designated by UNESCO as a Heritage of Humanity. The Metropolitan Cathedral was built over the ruins of the Great Teocalli or Main Aztec Temple, after Hernan Cortres accomplished the conquest of the Great Tenochtitaln in 1521.
