The charming and historic fishing and shipbuilding port of Lunenburg sits on the Atlantic Coast one hour south of Halifax, Canada ’s largest urban center east of Montreal.

Halifax international airport is just 1 ½ hours drive. Nova Scotia is also conveniently accessible via regular ferry service from Bar Harbour and Portland , Maine , as well as Saint John , New Brunswick ; or by land via the Trans Canada Highway.

With the help of early photographs we were able to build this timberframe structure where the original stood in the 1870s. The interior is cozy and charming, finished with unique details and thoughtful touches. Our guests will find all the modern amenities including TVs, DVD player, phone, wireless internet access, stereo, microwave, laundry facilities, BBQ, a fully equipped kitchen and a four piece bath (yes, there is also a hair dryer, and iron). For those chilly autumn evenings, curl up in front of a crackling fire with a book or game from the cottage library.
