Long Hill is situated on 20 A. just four miles from downtown Historic Winchester, VA, in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Winchester is the oldest English settlement west of the Blue Ridge Mountains and offers museums, historic homes, battlefields related to the French and Indian, Revolutionary and Civil Wars. Shopping, antiques, golf, and theatre are also huge draws.
Long Hill serves well as a destination for your vacation. Our guests are welcome to play the Yahmaha Conservatory Grand piano; read, visit, work puzzles in the well-stocked library; play pool or pinball or watch movies in the huge recreation room. A large patio and several sitting areas throughout the property allow for bird watching and wildlife sightings. The solar heated swimming pool is open May - early September.
Each of the three guest rooms has a queen bed with luxurious linens, a large private bath with double vanity and a shower with a seat, hand rails, and hand held shower. Each room is ground floor accessible -- the library and dining room are also ground level accessible. A whirlpool tub for two is conveniently located in its own room in the bedroom wing.
The outdoor swimming pool is solar heated and is open from the middle of May to early September. The whirlpool tub is in the house and can be used year round.
We do not have accommodations for pets except for companion dogs. We do have a resident cat, Samantha, who is not allowed into the bedroom wing of the house. No smoking in the house; smoking is allowed outside. We do accept children over 12 years of age.
Our rate is $95 plus taxes per night. This is for one or two people in one room. There is an extra charge of $10 for an air mattress in the room. The rate for one person Sunday through Thursday is $85 plus taxes per night.
