Surrounding Area

The ranch is unique, it sits on the Nicolet Trail, which is an old railroad bed, it is a multipurpose trail that is a main thorough fare to many more ATV trails, horse trails, hiking trails, snowmobile trails throughout Oconto County. Many of our guests bring horses, dogs, ATV’s, UTV’s, motorcycles, snowmobiles, fishing gear, hunting gear, and enjoy the access to the Chequamegon-Nicolet Forest that the ranch offers. For our horse guests, the ranch offers 15 paddock areas spread around the ranch, and a 19 box stall outdoor style barn for their comfort. For those with motorcycles or just cars, there are many forest roads that are offer beautiful drives through the area. The ranch is a couple of blocks from the Oconto River, and Chute Pond recreational area which offers many boating, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing opportunities. There are an abundance of area lakes, and streams to explore, in addition to the forest itself. For wildlife enthusiasts, the area is home to bald eagles, blue herons, sand hill cranes, geese, ducks, loons, badger, fox, deer, bear, and turkeys and many others.

Accommodations

The Spruce & Cedar Log Cabins are your full housekeeping lodging choices for several couples or a large family. It provides sleeping for eight with one queen, two twin and two full size Futons. The Great Room offers two Futons, a fireplace, a TV with DVD and VCR decorated in a horse lovers theme. The Kitchen is fully equipped from spoons to microwave. The Bathroom is complete with all towels and appointments.

The Ash & Maple Log Cabins are full housekeeping lodging choice for a couple or small family. It provides sleeping for four with one queen, and one full size Futon. The Great Room offers one Futon, a fireplace, a TV with DVD and VCR decorated in a fishing theme. The Kitchen is fully equipped from spoons to microwave. The Bathroom is complete with all towels and appointments.
